This little old lady on the bus this morning made my day. :smile1: She must've been 80 years old, and she got on and slowly made her way to a seat near the front. The driver tried to wave away a mosquito that had followed her in, and then the cute old lady said, "oh, did I bring him in with me?" and got up with her two shopping bags, moved back towards the front bus door, and started stomping on this mosquito and swatting it madly with her bags. :laugh5: Finally she stopped and looked at the driver and said, "I think I killed it", then inched back towards her seat. She was soo cute. :laugh5:

the couple upstairs didn't have any hanky panky last night, either he wasn't around or they were too knackered after the marathon shag fest's they've had the past few nights.

I was just cleaning out my suit case from my trip, and when I got to the bottom I noticed, under a piece of material that covers up the bars, a twenty dollar bill and then another. I just ended up ripping the cover off the Velcro and I found a big wad of twenties! It ends up that this is the money that my Mom and I thought we had lost when we went to Georgia a little more than a year ago! My Mom had gone over it a hundred different times, but never saw it for some reason. She was so thrilled she gave me twenty dollars :teeth1:

Nope, parking passes don't exist in my neighborhood...you can park anywhere you want free of charge, it's just first come first served and there aren't nearly enough spaces for everybody. Sometimes I get home late at night and I have to drive around for an hour or more to find a place to park, or I have to park a mile or two away. But it doesn't cost me anything.
That's why my car is 12 years old and only has 40,000 miles on it. :wink1:

Martha Stewart, who, IMHO ain't too cute is on the cover of a magazine with a fat, adorable black French bulldog. Martha could use a good haircut, get the facial mole removed and treat herself to a facial. She could apply the same remodel a kitchen to remodeling herself. That French bulldog, on the other hand was adorable. She had a cute, bulldog face; pointy ears; an oblong, chubby body and coal black eyes. French bulldogs look sort of like Bostons with bulk and terrier ears.

Our council has finally given us better resources to recyle, about time too. We now have bins for Glass/cans, paper and now food waste. They are also considering bringing in a fine for people that don't recycle which is great because our landfill sites are running out! Also food waste in a landfill site puts methane into air (green house gas) which contributes to global warming and also liquid called Leachate which can pollute groundwater damaging plants and animals.
So all good news in my book, I feel quite strong about eco issues. So George maybe if everyone does the same we may not kill our planet after all, well slow it down anyway........:afraid2:

A talk I had to give at a group meeting (in front of about 45 people - ack!) actually went pretty well today. Whew. Glad THAT'S over.

I saw the Twins (baseball team, major league, for those who don't follow U.S. sports) win last night's game. They won in the bottom of the nineth inning, making it a real cliff hanger.
Sally, if you have time, what is a teddy bears picnic ? Sounds like something exclusively British, and fun!

I know as much about baseball as you do about a teddy bears picnic :laugh5:
All a teddy bears picnic is, is having a huge picnic with a gang of kids and they all bring their teddy bears or chosen soft toy to sit next to them and the kids give their teddy bears tea aswell as themselves.
Its all based around the song The Teddy Bears Picnic as on the following link, feel free to sing along!! Its very sweet and for little kids, my sons are 4 and 1.

We finally got some rain today - it didn't cool anything off, but it should help my garden along. Hope to pick my first cucumber next week. I've picked a few jalepenos already.
