Do you know that Paul didnīt play bass in She Said She Said, but George?
Yes, I saw in the 'Many Years From Now' (book).
Paul had fight with all and gone.

Didn't know it, hadn't heard it, anything... I thought George had play bass in "Golden Slumbers", "Carry That Weight" and "Honey Pie"... but that is never clear... Are you sure? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thinker.gif

June 21, 1966 was a very hectic day in the studio. "She Said She Said" was the last song to be added to Revolver. It was recorded from start to finish in just four takes. The mono mixing of this song plus the mixing of nine other songs all took place that day.

George did know his way around with the bass when needed - remember the photo with him having sunglasses on and playing the bass during I believe the ATMP sessions - and Paul sometimes knows how to do a good guitar solo, not being a bass player from origin.
I will check anyhow about this session in books to add maybe something to what already is up here.
------------------
When we started actually recording "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" it was just my playing the acoustic guitar and singing it [This solo version appears on the Anthology 3 CD-GW Ed.] and nobody was interested. Well, Ringo probably was, but John and Paul weren't. When I went home that night, I was really disappointed, because I thought, Well, this is really quite a good song, it's not as if it shitty! The next day, I happened to drive back into London with Eric Clapton, and while we were in the car I suddenly said, "Why don't you come and play on this track?" And he said, "Oh, I couldn't do that. The others wouldn't like it."

She Said She Said
(Lennon/McCartney)
She said I know what it's like to be dead
I know what it is to be sad
And she's making me feel like I've never been born.
I said "Who put all those things in your head
Things that make me feel that I'm mad
And you're making me feel like I've never been born."
She said "you don't understand what I said"
I said "No, no, no, you're wrong"
When I was a boy everything was right
Everything was right
I said "Even though you know what you know
I know that I'm ready to leave
'Cause you're making me feel like I've never been born."
She said "you don't understand what I said"
I said "No, no, no, you're wrong"

Yes, Paul did say that in - Many Years From Now - "I think I'm not sure, but I think it was one of the only songs I never played on. I think we had a barney or something."
But in two widely acclaimed books, Revolution in the head by Ian MacDonald and Recording sessions by Mark Lewisohn, who also wrote the liner notes for the "Anthology series" and for "the Beatles 1" album.Claim that Paul did play bass on 'She said She said". Okay even the biggest Beatle expert can be wrong, even if he's called Mark Lewisohn, but it's also likely that Paul couldn't remember it exactly. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thinker.gif
As for the let it be guitar solo, the solo on the single version does indeed sound more like John, but again using MacDonalds "Revolution in the head" as my source. It seems that they were both done by George.
"Harrison added a leslie-toned guitar solo to take 27 of 'Let it Be' on 30 April 1969, after which it was left to accumulate dust for the rest of the year. At the beginning of 1970 it was given a second, more organised solo with some fuzz-tone, some high harmonised backing vocals by George and Paul, extra drums maracas. and a George Martin score for brass and cellos. These extra instruments, virtually inaudible on the single version of the song, are mixed higher on the album, where Harrison's second solo is preferred."
And I prefer the album version of "Let it be" also.

"You know, I've always had a bit of a mouth and I've got to live with it. When I slagged off the Beatles thing, it was like divorce pangs, and me being me.Now we all got it out and it's cool". - John Lennon 1974

Did not see my double post yet, yet.
To be honest, my first reaction to Cheeky B*tch was something like ; is this part of the lyrics? But I changed it.

This week, the Beatles greatest hits album, "1", is at number twenty-four on the USA album charts. "Wingspan: Hits and History" by Paul McCartney is at number two.

Yeah, I can relate to what you just said! I LOVE that song! It's definitely a TIMELESS CLASSIC! That is proof positive of a good song -- if it sounds pleasing to you and makes you think and want to hear it even more.
The Beatles were good at that sort of thing.
