No, that's not the right thing to do.
Nothing to kill or die for.
It's best just to see him as a nonentity.

thatīs right lennon-mccartney!
i think john lennon did enough good things and he can be proud of his life and to kill chapman would be against all his plans and visions to have a world in peace

I,myself, have never mentioned his name since I found out who he was. People have tried to get me to tell them who killed John, but I won't say it. I don't even use his initials. The name I call him is not suited for this site. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/blush.gif

i think that if someone takes another persons life away, they don't have the right to live themselves,
the evil guy (as i call him) should have been senteced to death for taking the life of john.
it wouldn't matter if he killed a nobody, if someone takes another's life away, they don't deserve theirs.
tonight (i think) on 20/20 there is to be an interview with him.
i love you john lennon, where ever you are...
luv, chey

This may just be another lousy rumour, but, I heard . . . if you look into a mirror and say his name 100 times, you get jaw ache.

Keep him in jail for the rest of his life. Remember that existence is the most suffering form of torture. (In some cases, like his.)

Does anybody know of he is still in a mental institution or if he is now in an actual prison. A stay at a mental ward is not enough for this guy. I hope he's some big man's boyfriend right now.

Nice imagination guys. I'm pretty sure he's in solitary confinement for this very reason. Hey CalifTom, why don't you edit your profile and add a user image? It helps define who you are around here.

I guarantee one thing, he's alot safer locked up than he would be in the outside world. I'm sure there's alot of people including myself that would feel compelled to go pay a visit to that scumbag with a baseball bat. As far as I''m concerned, he better pray they never let him out of prison.

Certainly not to discount someone else's feelings, but being so angry at Mark David Chapman only takes hours, days, weeks or years off of your own life. That gives him more power and even makes his actions in December of 1980 all the more devestating. Bad enough that he altered John's life, I won't allow him to alter mine by infecting my feelings. Peace.http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

Certainly a nice concept Glenn, but I don't think it really works in my mind. I can't help but think about how much I wish John was still here everytime I look at a picture of him from the last few years of his life. John is NOT supposed to be dead right now. That bastard robbed a child of his father, robbed a wife of her loving husband, robbed the world of one of a great leader, and robbed music of its greatest songwriter. And to think he has basically been unharmed after all this is astonishing to me. I hope the prison guards beat him senselessly and I hope he's raped by his fellow inmates. And if he ever gets out, I hope he's hunted like an animal and shot the same way he did John. I doubt he's in the general population wherever he's locked up though, because I'm sure somebody would love nothing more than to stick a shank in his throat. He ever gets out of prison, he better hope the witness protection program finds him before I do.

Seriously????
Not trying to be a jerk here, but isn't that censorship. This great site does celebrate the Beatles, who as I recall from the Anthology book, all used the very word in question here. I'm pretty sure that any of the Beatles themselves would say that it's just a word, nothing more nothing less.

And I thought you have to be thirty, or thirteen or soemthing to be a member here. Just the other day a little person said "I'm 11" - you know.

Well ,I might be overreacting, but I would not like my kids to walk in and happen to see it right there on the screen. Call me overprotective, but that's just me.

I agree. I think you're right about this Kat. If you want to swear, do it elsewhere. Not everyone wants to see it...even if the Beatles did use the word.
