While we're on the topic of bugs... check this out gang, and see what you can make of it. It's a 45 of 'She Loves You' but at the bottom of the record it clearly states that it's by... The Bugs?! Click on the link and see it with your own eyes!

I can't ever recall them going by this name?

This week, the Beatles' greatest hits album, "1", is at number thirty-five on the USA album charts.

Doubt it's really the Beatles, Nowhere Man -- there were a lot of records like that, where companies rushed things out to beat the Beatle craze and called the bands things like "Beetles," "Bugs," "Buggs," and stuff like that...I've never seen that record before, but what I think it is is one of those things -- soundalikes trying to cash in.

Yes there were even 45s that came out as John & Paul, The Nurk Twins (check your Beatle history on THAT reference...) PLUS!

In 1965, there was a record called "The Girl I Love" by The Beatles. (label: Quest 101 Publishing by Maclen Music!!!!!!)

THIS of course was not THE Beatles. But they got away with it then.

In 1970, there was "Ram You Hard" by John Lennon & The Bleechers (label: Punch Records) and this wasn't THE John Lennon either.

I do not own these 45s. This is from "All Together Now: The Beatles' Discography 1961-1975" by Harry Castleman & Walter J. Podrazik.

To all that are wordering about the songs listed as sang by the (BUGS).
When I was about 14 years old I found an album called (The Beatles Beat by the Bugs). It was a cover band at that time, I lost the album many years ago
and have not been able to find anything else by this band.

I have a CD of Bugs Bunny singing She Loves You. Does that count? :laugh5:

What can I say? I love my Looney Tunes as much as I love my Beatles. :heart1:
