No doubt George would be proud and moved.

Love Comes to Everyone is a great song and will sound great with Eric's guitar on it!

Didn't Eric do the original guitar intro on that song anyway? Or am I thinking of another song? *is easily confused*

This makes me kind of teary, in a good way. I am so deeply happy he chose to do this, and this song in particular is so so special to me. It touched EC too then, in a stand out way... awww.... really really special.

Clapton first recorded a Harrison song in 1968 when Cream recorded George's 'Badge'
not to nitpic but didn't eric co-write that one? (along with one line from Ringo)
that's kind of like saying Paul is doing a John Lennon cover when he sings I Saw Her Standing There, isn't it? :cross2: at least give eric co-writing credit!
Mentioning Run So Far or That Kind of Woman would have been mentionable IMO.
Its an interesting choice but a good one! a few artists that have done George covers lately all seem to chose While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Personally thats my fav George song but he had so many others to chose from! its nice to see Eric pick something different- one of George's underappriciated songs!

Totally cool. One of the times I saw Eric Clapton in concert was way long ago, and we sat with the band Fleetwood Mac because my friend's sister was their PR manager and fronted us two tickets for the same box. THAT was the night I saw Ringo sitting next to us too. My brush with fame. Anyways, always liked Eric. The article has one statement that jumped out at me, about Eric being George's life-long friend, and even "going on to marry his wife." That is an oxymoron if ever I've heard one! They really had a special friendship.
I'm happy about this song choice and can't wait to hear it. So much Beatle news and sooooo little time!

"Love Comes to Everyone" is one of the most optimistic songs under the sun. I love it and am not surprised Eric found it very moving as well. See, George had that gift - he could move people; leave indelible impressions on them and be ever the good influence.

Eric Clapton did a version of "Run So Far"? Did Eric do it before Brainwashed or after? And did George write it for Eric or something like that (if Eric recorded it before George did)?
Sorry for all the questions, but I'm quite interrested in knowing about that! Thanks!

"Run so far" was originally written for Eric, and included in his " Journeyman" LP (1986 more or less), that is about 15 years before George included it in his "Brainwaished"

His cover of Beware Of Darkness sends chills up my spine. I'm sure he did an exceptional job on this one also. EC's love for George really shines through when he's singing one of George's songs.

How true...proof of this can also be found on Concert for George. A more touching tribute would be hard to find. It also speaks to the power of friendship.
