Has anybody seen the album "Bugs and Friends Sing the Beatles"? The track listing is as follows:
1) She Loves You
2) The Fool On the Hill
3) Birthday
4) Hello Goodbye
5) With A Little Help From My Friends
6) It Won't Be Long
7) Yesterday
8) Penny Lane
9) Help!
10) Can't Buy Me Love
11) The Long And Winding Road

This is a parody, with some very funny parts. For example, in Yesterday: "There's a shadow hanging over meeeeee whoa! Some shadow, there seems to be a safe attached."
This was the album that got me turned on to the Beatles! I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to get their kids "Hooked On Beatles". http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

Elmer sang "The Fool on the Hill" and "With a Little Help From My Friends". Throughout the album, he's forever going off key or breaking guitar strings. It's hilarious.

Hello there! I'm new here and I am not sure how you guys do your posts and all.......so if I appear to be a little "goofy" (I am) it's because I am used to my main Beatle message board where it's a handful of people and we all know each other.

Yes! Yes! I have the "Bugs & Friends" CD! (also The Chipmunks one) It's a lot of fun. I think I found it at Circuit City or Media Play. It's great. The parody of the United Artists- "A Hard Day's Night" cover is what got my attention in the store. Then I looked at it and knew that I MUST have it! All of the songs are terrific. The one that stands out in my mind is "The Long And Winding Road" by The Road Runner. It will make you LOL. Hmmmmmm....I really need to listen to this CD again.....

Hello Nowhere Man,

Thanks for the welcome. This discussion board is so big I am afraid I will get lost!!

Would you believe that you are only the THIRD person to know where I got my name from? CONGRATULATIONS!! Only two others from my regular board knew anything about it. Most Beatle people don't know about that or even question my name! When I first got my computer, I wanted a name that had something to do with either The Beatles or cats. These are my two obsessions. All the Beatle related names I picked were already used. So I started looking through CD's. The first one I picked up was Condor's "Not For Sale" and it jumped right out at me! Both being Beatles and cat related! Thanks for mentioning it.

I was the one that first used the "fruit" analogy. We all need a little more fruit. What about vegetables? Now that's kinky.

Love, Catswalk

Did you know that Paul's 'Catswalk' was recorded by Chris Barber and his Jazz Band (on 20 July 1967) and renamed to 'Catcall'? Paul and Jane Asher even attended the session and at the end of the recording added their voices to the finale. The single wasn't a hit though, and the track was later included on Barber's album 'Battersea Rain Dance'.

Hello Nowhere Man,

I am glad that you like my name. I thought it was pretty great myself! Yes, I did know about "Catcall" but, I forgot all the details. Thanks for reminding me about that. As for the Condor disks, I only have four of them. At the time that I bought them, I knew nothing about bootlegs and was just being introducted to that whole scene. The only one I had up to that point was the "Complete Christmas Collection" on Yellow Dog. I got the four Condors at the same time. I have "Something To Hide", "Dig It", "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Not For Sale". Yes, "Not For Sale" is terrific! There were so many songs on them that, of course I had never heard because all I had was the regular stuff. I almost flipped over backwards when I heard "Leave My Kitten Alone". I kept saying out loud---"What's wrong with that one?" I couldn't believe it wasn't used!!! They were the perfect introduction to the world of unreleased material.

I have been laughing at all the posts after yours. Looks like I kind of stirred up the board a little.

Oh, the Condor's are superb, really magnificent..... as is anything and everything on the Yellow Dog label! You must try and get some more of these if you can, there's about 50 different Beatles CD's all up on this label (52 or 53 to be exact, I think - I've counted all the double CD's as one) and they are all quite amazing. I don't need too many more to complete the lot, so I'm slowly picking them off one by one. So amazing to listen to!
