Here's something I was thinking of on my plane ride back home from Memphis. How many songs can we name that have somebody moaning or groaning in it? Here's what I came up with right away:

Yer Blues - after the line "Blue mist 'round my soul"
Ticket To Ride - John does it before one of the "She's got a ticket to ride" lines
Long, Long, Long - whatever it is that George does near the end of the song

I don't think I want to know why you were thinking about this on a plane, Jerry, but, my vote goes to the end of "Revolution"!

And just why were you thinking of "moans & groans" on an airplane, Jer?!?!? This do NOT sound good http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/afraid1.gif http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/afraid2.gif http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/afraid4.gif http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/afraid2.gif http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/afraid1.gif

Well, the flight was totally boring. So I decided to go through the entire White Album in my head to pass the time. I guess I just got to "Yer Blues" and remembered how Brett & I used to notice these faint yells and moans in some of the songs.

I just thought of another one. In LSD, there's a really soft sigh after one of the verses. It's a lot easier to hear if you pan the sound to one side. I can't remember the verse, but I'll check it out when I get home. Oh yeah, there's one in the fast "Revolution" too. That's also easier to hear if you pan the sound.

Speaking of the White Album, George moans during the lead in While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

I just thought of another one. John wails right before one of the "hold me, love me" or whatever that line is in "Ticket To Ride."

And of course, you can't leave out the noises near the end of "Lovely Rita."

If you want to include solo songs, how about John's "I'm Losing You" or "Cold Turkey"?

Plane ride ?? Has my English become worse or do plains drive from Tennesee to California these days.

What about the start of Taxman? Does that count?

No, dear, your English hasn't become worse, you just need a little dose of colloquialism... We dad-burned Americans "ride" everything: in cars, aboard ships, on planes, on bikes, in trucks, on horseback, the gravy train, the roads, someone's back, someone else's case, "high", and ... um, other stuff http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/rolleyes.gif

We'd say plane or car "trip" down here. Oh yes, we're definitely day trippers. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/grin.gif
