Maybe Baby

I recently heard Paul singing "Maybe Baby" (the Buddy Holly tune) on a radio special and I know that there was a movie in England that came out last year (?) by that name. Is this from the soundtrack of that film or did I happen across an outtake from "Run Devil Run"?

Also, anyone got info on a booted tune by John called "Just Ask"?

I haven't heard of either of these tracks. Maybe the Lennon track has a different name on one of my bootlegs. Do you know any of the words or verses?

The Macca tune tune was available on Napster, is a studio recording, VERY "Run Devil Run-ish' in performance and clocks in at two minutes!

The Lennon tune is also on Napster but is mistakenly credited as a George Harrison tune. Listening to it, it is John in a home demo. The quality isn't the greatest si I can't pick out many lyrics...but it sounds like John.

I have Just Ask by George, which I got from Napster. It is George on an electric guitar.

It is 4.24 minutes long and George even sings tu-tu-tu-tu as what should be the slide solo. It sounds like a studio recording.

The track is still on Napster, just search for Just Ask as title. The User is TabithiaBlue.

"Maybe Baby" is indeed from the soundtrack of the movie by the same name. It's co-produced by Paul & Jeff Lynne and it ROCKS ! Oh yes, the rest of the album ain't much good !
