I think it was John who made this quote upon hearing rock 'n' roll for the first time in the mid-fifties.
"It's like Johnny Ray, Frankie Laine and (someone else), all rolled into one!"
Who was the third person? I checked out Pete Shotton's book, Len Garry's book, Ray Coleman's and couldn't find the quote. I think it is a cute one and would like to include it in my signature. I am sure it was John who said this. John knew those older singers and songs that came before rock 'n' roll, he just wasn't interested in playing music until it came along. Can someone help me out? Thanks in advance! :)
