Mine would be Got My Mind Set On You or Dancing Queen (no jokes)

I used to dance a lot mind you thats was way back in the 20th century.I used to be a dj at clubs too ...and I used to love to go see the Dead and dance with 20k other people ! I think it really neat that all ancient tribes had dances >ONe summer I lived on a Hopi reservation in Arizona and I got to see the dances for Corn >These were not for tourists these were the real deal and I still hold it as one of the most powerful religious experience Ive ever had..I guess I' m saying dancing is important

Oh pretty much anything - I love to dance! I love to dance to things with really weird beats to them, so something like "Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except for Me and My Monkey" gets me going. If you can't dance to "I Saw Her Standing There", you just can't dance. We used to always jump on the dance floor when they'd play "Love Shack" or any cheesy tunes like that too. :smile1:

Anything goes, but "Let's Dance" (David Bowie), "Easy Money" (Billy Joel) or nearly anything Beatle (especially the moptop years) are my poison :)

Any of the old ska tracks on the Trojan Label, and any decent dub track.

A couple of days ago, I did some crazy dances to "L.A. Woman" and "Won't Get Fooled Again." You guys should have seen them; at least until I decided to do "L.A. Woman" a second time and hit my knee on the desk.

Even though I can't dance AT ALL! I love too! And will dance to practically anything(especially if it is classic rock or our beloved liverpudlian lads)! At my 2nd cousins wedding this year they played I saw her standing there and I went nuts! My older sister was keeping away from me and had an " I don't know her" expression on her face.

"What I like about you" by the Romantics or "wonderful tonight" by Clapton. Actually, if I'm out with the Broads, I'll dance to just about anything!

The 1980 classic "What I Like About You" and Mellencamp's butt-kickin' 1983 hit, "Play Guitar," 1985's "R-O-C-K in the U.S.A.!"
The Young Rascals' 1966 smash, "Good Love," "Can't Explain" by the Who and most 1960s rock. I'm a 1960sphile. Many early Beatles as well.

LOL!!!!! I'm a terrible dancer too!!! But once a tune gets me I just can't help myself!!!!!! My sister often disowns me too when we go out dancing!!!!! I even caught myself tapping my foot in time with the washing machine the other day!!!!! :blush4:
I just thought, maybe I should transfer this to the crazy people thread!!!!! :laugh5:

I love dancing. It's great fun and good exercise, sort of. Some songs that are guaranteed to get me on the floor are, "Come On Eileen", "2-4-6-8 Motorway", "99 Red Balloons", "Mickey", "Atomic", "December '63 (Oh What A Night)", "I'm A Believer" and "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)".

When I find myself in a mood for dancing, I'm about to dance to anything. Well, to almost anything. It has to have a sort of catchy rhythm, a melody, a mood, and words which mean something, and that's it. :wink1:
Isn't it good

I spent some of my childhood at ballet school, and I've been teaching dance for the past few years. If I've learned anything through all of it, it's that dance is natural- just an extension of everyday movement. I'm convinced ( and this applies to all of you who say you can't!) that everyone who likes music can dance. I agree with Georgia- all you need is a good beat and you're groovin'!

There are about 1,000,000 songs that make me dance! (Much to the consternation of my coworkers).

"Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", is a classic song to dance to. A few other favourites for me are "Suspicious Minds", "A Little Respect" and "Crazy In Love".

Something nitty-gritty by The Stones like Honkey Tonk Woman, or Let It Bleed.
