Patti said all along she wanted children but sadly could not conceive. She said in a 1966 interview she wanted at least 3.

Still, this is JMO, this appears to be a very sensitive topic and speculation on it does not appear to be in anybody's best interest. Again, that is JMO.

Patti couldn't physically have children, she was told while she was married to George and some say that it put a strain on their marriage but who knows. She has never had any children and Eric got another lady pregant while married to Patti but that child later died at the age of five after falling off a sky scraper.

Yea, this topic is sure to incite a riot if everyone doesn't agree on what's been written.

(walking away with lip zipped).

What is there to riot about, thats a fact, she couldn't have kids. I am confused, but not the first time :bigeyes3:

What if we just leave the original question answered by assuming that unfortunately Patty could not physically have children and I hope I phrase it well.

If there is a reason to dig in to this deeper, let's at least be reasonoble.

Personally I find the phrasing in the original question - 'doesn't make sense' - a bit unfortunate phrasing, but please let's not have a discussion on that.

I agree, that was why i was confused, i didn't think it warranted a discussion and didn't understand the topic, its a very sad fact thats all.

In an interview with "Hello" magazine in 2004, she spoke about not being able to have children: 'The subject of children is still painful for her and she has never discussed it publicly before, "When I was married to George, it just didn't happen," she says, "At first I didn't think there was a problem. After a time I went for tests and the Doctors said things seemed okay. Later on, after further investigation, they found I had a blockage, and I started to do something about it. I tried all sorts of treatments, I had IVF, but nothing worked. It was very painful for years. Eventually I had to realize that it just wasn't meant to be."' If you look in the Yahoo groups, there's a group called "Something about Pattie Boyd." They have the Hello interview (and many others) in the "Files" section titled "Pattie Boyd Talks" and it's in two different parts. At least George did have a child with Olivia, but I feel bad for Pattie that she could not have them.

In the Blacklisted Journalist's site (Al Aronowitz, a friend of them all) he mentions being on an airplane flight with George in 1970 or 71. He said that George told him that he wanted a family, but couldn't have one because of a problem. He never said what exactly the problem was. Pattie did also say she and Eric considered adopting a child, but she was 36 at the time, and in England, that was considered old by then. However she said she's a great Aunt to her sisters and brother's children. All of them have children, and they visit her often at her house.

I don't think it was offensive, you just didn't know about the infertility situation, that's all. Don't worry, it's all good.

You didn't offend me. I'll talk about anything.
