We went to the annual Playboy Jazz Festival this weekend at the Hollywood Bowl. We've gone to about 19 of them...anyways... I was sitting there in the sun, having a brew, looking around at the spectacular hillsides, and thinking, geez, the Beatles played here! Very fine, indeed.
Anyways, if you like Jazz, it's the hot ticket every year. Nothing better than sitting in the sun, eatin' Sushi, drinking beer, wine, or whatever your flavor, and listening to jazz into the warm summer nights.

Hey, GeorgieGirl :wave1: , you sure get around! Steve Winwood, Playboy Jazz Festival!
I heard Bill Cosby isn't going to be hosting the Jazz Festival anymore. Who was this years host? BTW, have you ever seen the Fab Four? They play a lot in the So Cal area. I saw them for free at a Concert on the Green show a few years ago. My friend and I really enjoyed that show. See ya! :cross2:

Dare I say I'm going to see Tom Petty and Jackson Browne in August? Oh, and King Tut, of course...and Paul (without a doubt).
I saw Petty a few years aback (with Browne) and let me tell you it was fantastic! He rocks!
Oh, that's right about Bill Cosby. That was weird, but I didn't hear why he wasn't doing it. Anyways, Kevin Eubanks was the Master of Ceremonies.
My husband is a DJ part time for a local Jazz station, so we see a lot of jazz as well. We've always been into music and have seen more bands than I could ever remember. We try to go to as many as we can. Saw Sara McLachlan this year and Grand Funk Railroad (don't ask).
I have never seen a Beatle's tribute band. I'll keep my eyes (and ears) open.
