This is going to sound horrible to most of you...but I have most of my music by burning it from rented cd's or borrowed ones...and not a few of my songs were gotten from Napster before you know....anyway I never realized how absolutely fab it would be to have the Real thing....the notes in the Sleeves make you listen for more then you heard before.
I just bought With the Beatles....Is it just me or are the words,"With the Beatles" A little messed up on the cover?...It looks like it's supposed to be that way.
And that album makes me remember how much I love to hear George sing....his accent is the best if you ask me. Oh...and I could just die hearing Paul sing, "Till there was you"

Just thouhgt I'd get a new topic going! Tell me what you think...oh and don't worry I have plans to start building my own Cd collection. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

Eleanor, I agree and am surprised that "It Won't Be Long" was never a single! A hook right from the start on that one.

Alot of people slagged off George's "Dark Horse" album because he had a throat condition when he recorded alot of it but to me his voice on the song "Dark Horse" sounds very much like his singing on the early Beatle LPs.

El, if I were you... I'd dig even deeper and look for bootleg copies of the first four albums in STEREO! They are REALLY FAB!

Keep digging El. There's alot out there to love with the "lads".

With The Beatles is a fantastic collection of music.

Yeah George sounds great on that one. Especially on "Roll Over Beethoven" and his own composition "Don't Bother Me". But, to me, the hightest point of the album is Ringo's "I Wanna Be Your Man" http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif That song is always capable to make me stand up and dance.

Wish it was an Lp but it's a cd.

Darkhorse...I love that song too...it always makes me think of the sequence in HDN where Ringo was dancing his "Ringo" Dance!

Oh..and when you finish Dancing with Rellevart in Chicago, come down a little further and I'll promise not to look away when you ask me to dance. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

Meet The Beatles will always be special because it was the first album to get noticed in the US back in 64, the first one we bought, and the one to turn us all on to the new rock and roll.

Talking about covers... The cover of the English LP "With The Beatles" is much superior, though... That ugly letters above the wonderful pictures only ruined the effect (that's what I think). http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

Darkhorse, you have to forgive our juvenile section... It seems ever since I tried to convince certain others that children (mine in particular) do indeed read posts in this forum, they have done their best to provide us all with a constant barrage of juvenile delinquent behaviour. Of course, they don't really have an offline life, so they have to "act" it out online...

I don't know whether you're sick... dirty-minded or whatever. You laughed at me through all the topic. It doesn't matter, though, I'm all with Sleepy here. You all just have to get your inner children in the Forum, and start fooling around. I've done it myself, so I can't complain. So go on, have fun, and everything's alright. OK?
