just for fun/ignore feature

I just wanted to start a new thread...just for fun. To be pointless, because what better place can you do that than among friends ;)

I am very curious to know how many people use the ignore feature here. I don't want to know who you are ignoring...just if anyone really uses it. Even the people that I want to ignore, I don't...it can be fun to read their posts.
Now of course if you don't respond...I will assume you have me on ignore :)

I've never used it. I enjoy being annoyed by the people I find aggravating sometimes. :wink1: Also, as a moderator, I don't feel that it's appropriate for me to be skipping posts, in case there's something going on I should intervene in (yeah, because I do that SO often - NOT!). Besides, I try to (not always successful, but usually pretty good) keep it all in perspective and not let anybody get to me so much that I need to formally ignore them. Informally ignore? Well, um, no comment. :wink1:

Nope, don't use it - as a mod, probably not a good idea for me to ignore anyone! And besides, I like (or can basically tolerate :wink1: ) everyone!

Haven't used it before either... even if I don't like what a person has to say, I don't think just ignoring the post will really solve my problem. :wink1: Besides, I think everyone has something interesting to say, even if I don't agree with it.

I used it just once, to see what it would do. But I had to put one of my friends on so I didn't have to go searching for posts. :wink2: But I wouldn't ever 'permanantly' block anyone, because I like everyone. :smile1:

The ignore feature really isn't an option for the other moderators and myself... We have to keep an eye open for anything that might arise. However, Rell's "informally ignoring" technique does come in handy at times. :wink1:

I never ignore!!! And I think people might have trouble ignoring me too 'cos I never shut up!!! Anyone who does feel a need to ignore me though, should do so immediately!!! I'm well known for driving people completely up the wall with all the drivel that comes out of my mouth!!! Even I forget what I'm talking about sometimes!!! Could talk a glass eye to sleep........that's me!!!!!!

I only used it once, because I didn't know what it did and I was curiouse. But I quickly unblocked them and I haven't blocked anyone since. But I have to admit I do 'ignore informally' too :wink1:

I used the ignore feature once on another message board on some moron who was really getting on my nerves. So pointless! Each of their posts is marked by "This post is being ignored. Click Here to read it". It's just a way of delaying the inevitable, because you're going to read it one way or the other eventually!

But I never block anyone here, except for that Jerry bloke. He's always giving me grief! :-p
