He's a real nowhere man
Sitting in his nowhere land
Making all his nowhere plans for nobody

Doesn't have a point of view
knows not where he's going to
Isn't he a bit like you and me?

This is just a fun thread to associate Beatle lyrics with thoughts, images or anything else that comes to mind. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

Whenever I hear Nowhere Man I think of poor little Jeremy spinning around on that twirly floor thing in the film. Altogether now... Awwwwwwww.

Thank you.... I think.

They've done a Jeremy doll, it was given away with one of the new Beatles Yellow Sub dolls. I think.

There was quite a bit of heavy symbolism in that movie. You just have to do a little digging but it's all there. i thought that perhaps it, the concentric circular lines that is, possibly represented Jeremy's lack of destiny and therefore focus in his life, ironically brought on by his own unique search for knowledge which resulted in his own inevitable specialization. Just my 2¢ worth.

That "twirly floor thing", for all of you youngsters who may not know, was meant to represent a record, an album, a disc...

Jeremy (and all of his lines) are cool.

The twirling floor means that thruough his desire to have all knowledge, Jeremy had closed his world in to a degree that only included himself. The Beatles helped him see the world outside of himself.
