As you should all know, today is the 20th, 'anniversary' (I hate uing that word to describe it) of John's death.
As a tribute to the mans great life, I've created a Lennon remembered page on my website, so that when you go there, it's the first page you see. It isn't much, but at least some people will see it. If you want to see it, just click here –

I hope you all like it.

To remember John, I'd like to write this little passage from In His Own Write:
ABOUT THE AWFUL
I was bored on the 9th of Octover 1940 when, I believe, the Nasties were still booming us led by Madalf Heatlump (Who only had one). Anyway they didn't get me. I attended to varicous schools in Liddypol. And still didn't pass--much to my Aunties supplies. As a member of the most publified Beatles my and (P, G, and R's) records might seem funnier to some of you than this book, but as far as I'm conceived this correction of short writty is the most wonderfoul larf I've ever ready
God help and breed you all.

Yeah. I know about the candles. The candles were flickering when I saved it, but something happened in the saving process, so it only saved a broken image.
I'm glad you all like it, and I hope all the people who visit my site in the next 2 days will like it too.

Today is a very sad day. It was 20 years ago, the most famous Beatle was shot and killed outside of his home in NYC. His name was John Lennon. He was a talented musician/artist/composer/writer who will always be missed. But instead of be sadden by his death, we need to be happy for the life he lived and the music he gave to us. I was reading an article and the author said this: Paul is known as the Cute Beatle, George is known as the Shy Beatle and John is known as the Dead Beatle. I think that is so sad, because he deserves more than that. As a fan, I wanted to remember him for the talented artist that he was and will always be. Although he is dead, his spirit is alive in all of us. His music is all around. His legends lives on with his fans. He will always remain alive in my mind and heart

Maybe it's because of the mood I've been in lately but when I opened up you website and imagine started playing I got a little tear in my eye. Your little tribute was really beautiful in its simplicity.

As long as John is in our hearts he is not dead, for only when none keep you in their heart are you truly dead.

Harb, a very nice touch of sentimentalism. I will always remember exactly what I was doing that night, 20 years ago, when I heard the news. Not only Beatle fans, but the entire music world, lost a prolific entertainer.
A little bit of John Lennon lives on inside all of us. His presence will be miss by all, but the memory lives on.
In closing, I'd like to quote some lines from two songs. I'm sure you'll know what they are when you read them.
"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."
"Nothing to kill or die for..."

I agree too. I'll always remember where I was in Tempe, Arizona when Howard Cosell of ABC Monday Night Football came on the airwave and announced the news of John Lennon.
Last night (12/08/00), I took the Mrs & the 3 kids to Denver, Colorado's Hard Rock Cafe and attended the tribute for John Lennon. It's had a pretty good gathering of fans attending the event with candle lighting tribute.
