The theme tune of a BBC Detective Series called "New Tricks" is very clearly based on "End Of The Line", same sort of music, sung by one of the lead actors Dennis Waterman.

"it's alright, it's okay, we're getting to the end of the day"
Quite nice :)

I guess the producers of that series must have heard Roy's verse on on "End of the line", and said...
"Wow, we've just GOT to have that song as our theme for the show !"

I don't think so :)
The Theme is called "It's Alright" and is written by Mike Moran who worked with George on many occasions, like on Gone Troppo and Brainwashed.
So it's a sort of a tribute..

By the way, if you look to the left at my "avartar"... notice who George is sitting next to ? (LOL)
I can imagine when they took that picture... "... no, I wanna sit next to Roy !"

Nahhh, more like Tom spilled some wine on Roy's shirt...
Tom (tears in his eyes and quite drunk): "Oh, Roy... I'm sooooo sorry..."
Roy (sighing to himself): "... this type of thing didn't happen when I played on that album, with Perkins, Cash and Jerry Lee, last year..."

I caught a bit of the theme tune the other night, and I did think of End of the Line too. Didn't realise it was written by someone who had worked with George though.

LOL :laugh5: Reminds me of the Little Britain sketch where a teeny weeny Denis Waterman insists he sings the theme tune to every show he's in! He's not in it is he?
