I just got out for summer break Thursday since that was when I took my last final. I plan on spending time in the sun, with my boyfriend, and get together with two of my college friends here and there. I hope to be able to go camping out in the Adirondacks. I'm not sure if I'll be able to this year since I'm looking for a summer job. It's still a thought though. :smile1:

What do you guys plan on doing during the summer? Anything fun and interesting?

:teeth1:

I'm going to have a busy summer. :smile1:

I'm going camping at least twice, with the youth at our church.

This summer, we're going to be celebrating the 200th birthday of our first prophet. Youth all over Utah (estimated 100,000) are going to be singing praise at Rice Eccles Stadium, and I'm going to be in it. They're also trying to hit the record books with the largest choir to perform.

Over the 4th of July, Beth, my mom, and I are going up to Washington state to see my aunt and uncle's property that they're going to be building a house on (someday). We'll get a motorcycle ride from my uncle, and we'll be able to ride in my aunt's convertible too :teeth1:

But other than that, I'll just be sleeping in and spending 12+ hours on the computer, and seeing Beth. :P

Summer's like any other season once you're out of school. I'm working, working, working.

Do plan to take some time off in 2 weeks for AROTR (can't WAIT!) and some in August for Beatlefest, but no vacation this year...

I'm not completely sure what I'm going to be doing... I'm reeeally hoping to get an internship, which is 6 weeks long and I'll be working 5 days a week. After that, I'll have two weeks left in August... I might be able to visit Chicago and go to Beatlefest this year, or my cousin and I were also talking the other day about flying out to Montreal together to visit some family. :smile1:

Let's see...I am hoping to be up in the Adirondacks for a good portion of July with my son at my inlaws' summer home. I'm also taking a long weekend to take Jamie to Boston to visit a friend, then we'll be back in the city for the beginning of August so he can go to day camp, and then I'm flying out to Chicago for Beatlefest (plus a few extra days) while my husband takes my son back upstate. I'll go up again after I get back from Chicago and spend a few days again. By that time, when we all get home, it'll be nearly time for school to start again...

Oh and our family might be able to go up to Canada (if we find the time)!

Not too much planned. Stay around the apt. as usual with wifey with the usual Sunday visit from our grandson. If we're lucky, we might go visit my parents in Port Burwell (3 hour drive from home) if I can talk my brother in to driving us.

Man, I lead an exciting life. Ho-Hum

No plans really. I'm graduating this summer and I'm helping out at a camp for a week but apart from that there's nothing on the horizon. I really should think about getting a job.

I'm going camping on the coast (Eureka, CA) with my boyfriend and our respective puppies.
I'm getting my puppy, a Yorkie I've named Summer after my favorite time of year. Boyfriend got a Toy Fox Terrier he named Trinity, because she's tri-colored.
Working part-time in the accounting office of my dad and grandpa's business. (Good pay, easy job.)
AND...
I'm going to be NOT worrying about the science classes I've put off for the last three semester.
I get to go back to a six-day-a-week workout schedule, and then tan, poolside-style, afterwards!!! Yay!

I have tickets to a Yankee game in July, and front row seats to see Brian wilson in August.
As Rell said, it's otherwise a workaday world for a lot of us.

Between my full-time work, I'll be starting my Master's program, going to see several concerts, trail riding with my barn's trail group, etc.

Oh yeah and putting aside time so I can watch the Tour de France in July.

Two of my other friends are 18 in August so i'll be going out with them. Probably working quite a lot to save up money for when I go to university in September!

We are going to Gibraltar (near Spain :wink1: ) for a week in July. It'll be the kids first holiday, and the first time I've been abroad in 5 years, so I'm looking forward to it! Apart from that the rest of the summer will be spent trying to keep the kids amused.

I'm working, as usual.... probably more than usual because the other teacher in my classroom is quitting and we won't have a replacement for her 'til the fall, I bet.

Plan on going to a few Indians games, and taking a houseboat trip in Minnesota with my hubby and his parents. I've never been on a houseboat before, so I'm looking forward to it.

My last day of college is on June 17 so, should I get my HND alright, I'll be job hunting..

Although, my friend is pregnant and due on July 18 so I'll be "Auntie Fiona" ;)

Isn't it good

I'm working in a microbiology lab, so I'm afraid a large part of my summer will be spent in a basement. It's not so bad though, because I think I'll be able to head to the mountains on the weekends.
Happy Summer to all!

P.S. Congratulations on finishing college and on your new niece/nephew, Feef! (Auntie Fiona!)

Adirondacks is such a great name I want to go there just because of what they are called lol
End of the month My Mom and Dad are visiting me from California.(im in Montana but you knew that right?)We are going to drive To Glacier National park http://www.nps.gov/glac/home.htm its less than 90 mins from Missoula. It had some preety bad fires in 2003 up there but, thats natures way. Then stay a few days and visit my aunt and uncle who live on Flathead lake .which is near there. It will be short but sweet:) hopefully we will drive up the famous "going to the sun" road if they have it all plowed .My mom gets nervous doing that kind of stuff but I really hope we do! I'm looking foward to it .

Hi pepperland. I live in Minnesota. the houseboat trip sounds wonderfull. I did that once, and it was simply great. Let me take a wild guess as to where. Lake Vermilion? I could have spelled that wrong. Anyway, you are in for a great time. Get your appetite ready for some great eating. Walleye is my favorite. Cheers.
