Just wondering who honestly cries http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/cry.gif when they hear a certain Beatles song? I always wonder about stuff like this for some weird reason.
I tear up every freakin time I hear In My Life. Come to think of it, I get emotional over a LOT of their songs- Let It Be, Julia, All You Need Is Love, Across the Universe, Wild Honey Pie.......
Just kidding on Wild Honey Pie.

I always get a lump in my throat when I hear the beginning of In My Life. It's one of the finest songs ever written. The best being written though is Imagine.

"Goodnight" as sung so beautifully and poignantly by Ringo. I find it so moving. (Good question, 4thGenFan!)

4thGenFan : I like the 1963 tune "P.S. I Love You". I remember this song when I was a young kid growing up in Phoenix, Arizona. It just set the tone & mood during my youth back in 1963. John and Paul would start the song singing together, then, Paul would take the lead. John would come back harmonizing in the background with Paul. Ringo would just have a simple 4-bar beat if you listen carefully while drumming. Wow, many moons ago. I'm getting old..! Thanks,

Can't say that a particular song has made me actually cry without an event associated with it, but Julia is a sentimental one for sure.

jtal: After John was gone, I used to play "Julia" over and over and cry my heart out. I felt he was finally re-united with his mother and that song was very appropriate. It's a hypnotic tune.

"Julia" is also one of my favorites. A very good tribute to his mother.

You'll find several Beatle songs that can relate on a personal level. Even their solo song are the same way. "Photogragh" is one of those songs that remind me of an ex-girlfriend.

I have the same with Photograph Bearkat, although the ex-girlfriend is ex-girlfriend because she is now my wife.
