I think it's just a joke, really - for bored people.

That wasn't Paul, that was William Campbell. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif
In case you didn't know, I'm the resident, 'expert' on the Paul is Dead cinspiracy. I've even done a webpage about it.
In response to your post, I know he's not dead, and I don't think it's stupid. It's fun to see how paranoid people were back then. And it's stupid putting, 'No replies', because everyone's is going to want to respond.

Housing one of the biggest collection of clues on a single website, Paul is Dead - The Conclusive Evidence (http://www.paulisdead.net) is just what you need to make a final decision about this conspiracy.

I don't think that there is anything stupid about this rumour at all. Of course I know that it isn't true but it provides hours of entertainment....and I don't think it is just for "bored people".
I love all things mysterious and this little rumour has fascinated me since I was just a little girl and my mother pointed out the clues on the Abbey Road cover.
I don't believe it but I love it.

In the late 60's,I was spinning my record of Revolution #9 backwards and hearing "Paul is dead, man." There was just enough curiosity to seriously look into the clues and half believe that it might be true. That is until the album "McCartney" came out.

Okay, maybe not for bearded people. Then maybe just for the neurotics.
There is only one dead beatle; I think it's a little sad to pretend another is dead.
(also, pulling harb's leg is hilarious)

If that comment is in reference to me and my mental condition, I resent that very much LenMac.
I don't go around pretending Paul is dead. I know very well that he isn't. I don't think that taking an interest in and having an opinion on all things Beatle is at all neurotic.
It sounds to me as if you are trying to say that you have never, not even for a second, taken an interest in it at all. I find it hard to believe that you have never thought twice about it.

I resemble that remark. Anyway, I know Paul's alive and well. I still remember hearing about it on the radio when it was first broadcasted. It was rather eeire to try and find as many "death clues" as possible. It actually became a game with me and some of my friends. "OK, who's got the latest clue?"

However, as for the bearded comment . . .

Kat is the only person I know here with a beard. If you know otherwise, fine. Just don't point it at me - it might go off.

Good old Noddy Holder!
Apparently when Slade were recording in New York, John Lennon walked in and said "I like the lead singer, he sounds just like me!"
I thought that was nice.

LenMac, so it was not just something that I was a fan of the group at their time.
I Looooove their version of Darling Be Home Soon on their Live Album.
Never knew that John did that, I bet he was not that keen on Dave Hill though.

Okay, okay, calm down. No need to get in a tiz! We all know he isn't dead, but it's fun to see what people were saying were clues back then.
