I think it's groovy you have all those flavors of white.
And I love that purple bug-eyed dude on your post.

You mean the one where John is sitting cross legged and is on the phone? That's the only nudie pic I have in my White Album CD.

Thanks, walrus. Most people are shocked when I tell them I still have 8-Tracks and an 8-Track player that still works. The little purple guy is easy to make. When you make your next post, click where it says "*Codes For Smilies". A separate window should open and you can see how to make your own funny faces. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/grin.gif http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/cool.gif http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

I wouldn't try to look too deep. Most of the songs were just rhymes.

I remember hearing (a very long time ago) that the song with the longest title is: "How Could You Believe Me When I Said I Loved You When You Know I've Been A Liar All My Life". This is not a joke; it's an actual song!

THAT is funny OFan! That song title sounds like something someone I know would say!! Ha!

I know someone just like that too Jami. How bizarre!
They say that the longest song titles in the world are always the ones for country songs.

That song was very popular during the '50s. I can remember the tune, but not the lyrics. In any case, the title seems to sum it all up, doesn't it? Glad it brought a giggle or two!

I got 2 original mono white albums and an original stereo one, and the limited edition 30th anniversary CD.

Talking about long sone titles, a particularly long titled song was written by Barry Wom, the drummer for the Rutles, and it was called 'When you find the girl of your Dreams in the arms of some Scotsmen from Hull'.

How bout "I'm a Cranky Old Yank in a Clanky Old Tank on the Streets of Yokohama with my Honolulu Mama Doin' Those Beat-o, Beat-o Flat-On-My-Seat-o, Hirohito Blues" written by Hoagy Carmichael in 1943. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif I do believe this is the longest song title ever.

Another long one, while we're on the topic, is "Come Throw Yourself Under the Monstrous Wheels of the Rock and Roll Bandwaggon as it Approaches Destruction" by the Juggernauts. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

i remember thinking "what a waste of space -the song Rev#9", when i first played it over 30 yrs ago. i have realized, John was just laying the groundwork for the advancement of all types of studio maniptulation of recorded sound.
