Yesterday the school my children attend had their annual holiday show. The kindergarten class did sleepy type songs.
Before they started their last song, the teacher said "Every night they fight going to bed, and in the morning they don't want to get up". She, and The Boys (via CD), then led them in "I'm only Sleeping".
It gave an interesting new spin to the song, especially the second verse, since we are in the over-harried Silicon Valley. Several parents, who I suspect never heard the song, chuckled at that verse - perhaps in self reflection.
