I like his solo music.
Yesterday I saw the show called Storytellers, which he performed on when Vertical Man was released. He plays with the band from the album and talks about the story behind the songs.
Perfect show and a very good and humorous performance by Ritchie.
I trust you all know about this show. Well, I didn't and was delighted to see it.

Ringo was a great inventive drummer whose style helped form the Beatle's sound. His contribution was much greater than your average drummer.

Musically he was a great drummer. And to me as a five year old listening to Abbey Road he had a very kid friendly singing voice. He always seemed to me to be like the mans man the guy everybody likes. I know most all of my moms friends husbands all liked Ringo the best back in the sixties cause they thought he was the coolest.

If you want to talk about a Beatle, we could move this to the Main Discussion Forum. If you'd like to talk about his songs and albums, we can keep it here.
Anyway, as far as his solo work goes, I like the LP Ringo. John, Paul and George all help out with it. Two of my favorite Ringo songs are on it - "Photograph" and "Six O'Clock".

ringo is a cutie, and i don't mean the things i say to her when i tease her.

In my youth (ooh, I'm all of 15 now..) Ringo was my absolute favorite. He came off so sweet and cute (in a temperment sort of way) he still seems to have this innocence. Have any of you seen his ad with the stook-broker.. I think it was Meryll-Lynch but I wouldn't swear to it.. anyway, he's so adorable in it; he still has this innocent look to him.
I remember being younger and my mom telling me that Ringo was her favorite as a kid. I found her copy of "Oh The Places You'll Go!" (Good old Dr. Seuss!) and she had written "To: Ringo From: Vicki" she msut have been about 7. But about 1989 (when I was 4) I took a pen, scratched out her name, wrote mine, and in big block letters, wrote "I Wish The Beatles Were Still Alive and Playing Music" -- I didn't quite understand that only John was not with us @ that point in my life.
Anyway, I'll stop ramblin' now http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/blush.gif
