View Full Version : Sean Lennon-A Loser?

It angers me that Sean Lennon, son of John - a member of The Beatles, who I love - can be so drunk and narrow-minded to pick a fight with my bass player because he has a mohawk."

"He was surrounded by girls and thought my bass player was competition so he started picking on him. He was out of order and was slagging him, saying he was old and had a crap haircut."

"I think he's insecure. Security had to step in and separate them or blood would have been spilled. The gig went brilliantly but Sean Lennon spoiled it for me. He's a loser."

is the irish examiner credible? i find it hard to believe but who knows. i love sean and maybe he did this, but in any case, arguing over a haircut? come on.

Well, and I hate to say this, but it almost sounds like something John would have done. Either way, I hope this isn't true.:nono4:

Hate to tell you this, I just called a friend who attended the festival and he said it definately happened, he didn't see it first hand but his mate did, apparantly Sean was absolutely steaming drunk.

I wouldn't call him a loser cos of it though, silly maybe but hey haven't we all done something we regret when pissed?

I wouldn't doubt it happened, only because I think Sean has that streak in him for some reason. If anyone has ever heard that Howard Stern interview, you know what I mean. I know people who have met him personally and said he was a completely wonderful, sweet person. But then I've heard some other stuff as well. But aren't one-sided stories the best?

Anyway, did anyone else hear that Sean's new album is supposedly entitled Spectacle? I wonder what the title refers to.

I think perhaps all of them should have had a little less to drink? If this is an accurate account.

Even though Sean's John's son, he's a human being! As someone said, when you're pissed you can do anything that could be out of control or out of your mind. The problem is that when you're famous or the son of a famous one, you're in the risk of being seen by anybody, isn't it? So, if it's true, it just passed!

How the Father also the Son

On March 12, 1974, Harry Nilsson and John Lennon were escorted out of the Troubadour club in Hollywood, California after heckling the Smothers Brothers during the comedy/music duo's "comeback" performance.

I don't think that somebody getting drunk and saying/doing something dumb makes them a "loser", necessarily. I mean, if he did that every day, then yeah, but who among us doesn't do something stupid once in a while?

What happened on the Howard Stern interview? I guess I missed this one. If anyone has links or anything, it would be interesting to read. I don't know a ton abotu Sean.... he usually seems like a pretty cool guy, but yea.... everyone messes up and everyone is nasty sometimes....

John never once in his life had a "real job." (Which isn't to say he wasn't "workin' like a dog" throughout his career.) Sean...is rich, spoiled, and pampered. I wish he'd work more, because I think he's a terrific songwriter/musician, but one album and the follow-up in seven years is not good.

I dont think getting drunk and beating up a guy makes Sean a loser. It was dumb, I'll give you that. But I do think Sean needs to grow up a little...
