Does anyone know if these songs were at some point considered in inclusion on Brainwashed. I love Every Grain of Sand by Bob Dylan and I'd love to hear George's version. I know it's on some bootlegs but I've never heard it.
Has Valentine ever been heard or sneaked out? Never came across it but I remember it being mentioned somewhere.

Beatlemad...you sure have been busy :)

I have not come across any sign of Valentine (yet) in the bootleg world.

And actually I have this feeling it will take a while before we will get a grip on some of these supposed "Brainwashed" recordings. I feel that the Harrison Estate is taking good care of them, which is a good thing.

The "sand" song is well known though.

For those who asked, "Valentine" was mentioned by many (including George himself, if I recall correctly) as one of the titles of the songs he was working on for his then upcoming album (what we now recognize as Brainwashed).

I think it should be around Friar Park... waiting for its time to come out. :smile1:

I am sure that Olivia and Dhani have many things for us in the future, songs we will hear that come from the Friar Park archives, like Valentine and when we just be patient and trust them based on what they already have given us...not be too greedy...then there will be many things for us to talk about here. I'm sure in November, or even sooner, we will have something new from them..

It was mentionned in that (August 1999 ?) "Billboard magazine" interview he did. The reporter even wrote that George had let him listen to it...

My 'patience' FPSHOT is ultimate, as any good George fan knows it has to be. What is this about November, what have I missed?

Yes ABCKO it certainly was mentioned in the Billboard mag. and this guy seemingly did listen to it but a little more info on it would have been appreciated. Maybe we could hunt him down - is torture out of the quesiton?

My dear darkhorse, how nice to see you still chipping in here with some words of wisdom. How much I miss the lively discussions we used to have about George's music.

It's something Hari's Chick and I thought about a while ago. Since George passed, we have been provided with nice new things in November and February by the Harrison Estate

- Brainwashed, nov. 02
- Box Set, febr. 04
- Dark Horse Years DVD, nov. 04

Forgotten something?

Sadly, we cannot torture him for more information (oner of the oddest sentences I have ever wrote!). He died several years ago, approx a year after George. Timothy White was his name, he was the top guy at Billboard at the time.
