What goes on is sometimes described as

Just a Ringo song.

But, if you listen to it, in fact it is another great musical peace of art.

The guitar finger picking and the solo reminds me of the Beatles for Sale style.

The harmonies again are very good and must have taken some rehearsals to come to this and it looks like the George O"Hara Singers are already there.

The song has certainly got country influence.

So, it's not just a song for Ringo.

The Ringo songs always portray Ringo as a poor little thing, there's the one in question, then there's Act Naturally, and also With a Little Help..
I think that is wonderful of the Beatles, because that is what the public thought of Ringo, and as they were dishing out songs to the public taste, they went all the way.
THEY knew their Ringo, and they didn't care what anyonoe else thought.

the Beatles were masters at giving the public what they wanted, and George was/is a master at the Chet Atkins country guitar pickin'.
