It has been documented that the last letter George wrote was to Mike Meyers requesting a Mini-Me doll from the 1999 movie, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.

That reminds me of the story of how Harry, Sr. described George upon seeing him for the first time. He said George was a miniature version of himself. I guess you could say that for Harry, Sr. George was a "Mini Me." :smile1:

I'm not much of a movie man, but I just adore that movie..even before I knew that about George and Austin....ok it's no Shakespear, but it makes me laugh and laugh...if only for the names ....sensational....groovy...

I think she was trying to simulate a rim shot, you know, what the drummer does after the punchline of a bad joke? :smile1:

I adore the 2nd Austin The Spy Who Shagged Me, that one kills me, I laugh through the whole movie :laugh5: ... and Mike seems to have such pride that is family is from Liverpool... I can see why George was taken with the movie's... do we know if he ever got the Austin doll?

That movie marks the only time i've cried-laughing outloud in a movie theater. I usually stay quiet when watching movies (at home or theater) while i'm laughing on the inside. but i nearly bust a gut watching Austin Powers 3.
all three of 'em are highly amusing actually!

Sadly Mike got the letter after George died.

I still haven't seen any of the Austin Powers films. Always wanted to, but haven't got round to it yet.

I'm sure GH saw some very Beatliesh/Pythonesque humor in those Austin Powers flick. It's good to think of him laughing toward the end.
