View Full Version : The Name Game

In what songs are the names of any of the Beatle's mentioned? I can think of three names in two songs. In Glass Onion - "...the walrus was Paul" and in Honey Don't - "Rock on George one time for Ringo".
I don't recall John name being mentioned in a song. The Ballad of John and Yoko doesn't really count for this purpose, since it is the title of the song and John's name isn't mentioned in the lyrics.

What if you count the songs that have some PID clues in them? That way you could name a few more songs that have the name Paul in them like "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Strawberry Fields Forever" and all the other standard ones that are meant to tell us all about his death.
I guess they don't really count though!

It's Johnny's birthday on ATMP.
Paul-othene Pam ???
John & Yoko on Give peace a chance.
Lucy; Where is 'Paul' on while my guitar gently weeps?? It's 'I look at you all', not 'I look at you Paul'. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

FPSHOT I do realise that it is "look at you all" not "look at you Paul". I may be blonde but I'm not that clueless.
George is heard to be moaning "ohh, ohh..." during the fade out and a few times you are meant to hear him moan "Ohh Paul".
I thought that was one of the best known clues.

I should have been a little more specific in my first sentence. I meant which Beatles songs contain the names of the members of the group?

Don't get me wrong - I don't think that blondes are clueless at all!
It's just that I've been met with such prejudice my entire life due to the colour of my hair that I seem to expect people will think of me that way!!
I'm sure that there must be some more songs with their names in the lyrics. Hmmm, let me think....

I guess demos don't count, but I'm reminded of the "plastic song" I'm Down. John, I think, says "Go Pauly" or something.
