Not only my one of my favorite artists but also one of my personal heroes. She lived life like it was meant to be lived and although many of her paintings conveyed a lot of pain, I find stark beauty and truth in them. Frida was incredibly beautiful, larger than life, and a true inspiration.

I, too, am a huge fan of Kahlo as an artist and as a woman. She lived a truly amazing life, which stands as a testament to the power of will and determination.
I suggest repeated viewings of the film Frida--Salma Hayek is fantastic as Frida, in my opinion.

I love her. When I was 4 and 5 I used to look through a book of her painting all the time. I loved them.

Yes, I fell in love with her work in high school. She's the best artist ever in my eyes. I love her style and I liked her as a person. Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to see her work in person but have done many essays on her in college. I have a few of her paintings (prints) hanging in my home.

Funny, I just watched the movie on cable the other day.
I think her work is brilliant -- intense, personal, creative. She lived a pain-filled life, but certainly lived it with gusto!

I adore this woman. Her art is as pure and honest as any I've ever seen. I especially love how she depicts tragedy and pain with bright, vibrant colors; to me, this really sums up both her work and her life.
Random sidenote, I have a T-shirt spoofing SPLHCB ("Sgt. Pepper's Only Arts Club Band); Frida has a place of honor, front and center wearing George's orange suit and hat :devious:
