Okay, there are mixed opinons on this one. IT all started one cold December night last year. My friend and I were looking at the Pepper lyrics, and found it says: Woke up, fell out of bed. While us sane people know it's got out of bed. About half the people I've asked say it's fell. At a impersonator concert they sang fell. i know it's got. so, what expert texperts what is it?

If you look at the back of the LP, you'll see that it says: "Woke up, fell out of bed." A book of mine, The Beatles Lyrics Illustrated, has "got". When you listen to the song, Paul sings "fell". So in my opinion, it is "fell".

You better have another go at listening to it again, mate. He definitely sings "fell out of bed".

I've always sung it as, 'Got out of bed', but after looking at my copy, it says, 'fell'. ARGH! CHANGE OF REPETOIRE!

you know, it REALLY doesn't matter. i mean, sing it how you like - it's just one word! karl, how in the world do you figure this to be "the eternal question?" did you just want to attract attention? i looked at the title, saw it was yours, and said, "this must be about the tower." that is the eternal question you know. is there a tower. i don't think so. but some day i will prove beyond a shade of a doubt one way or the other. eppy has spoken.
