An short answer would be not much. DvD's are taking over, tho in most cases the quality leaves a lot to be desired. Promo clips taken from T.V. sometimes even with MTV logo's, I guess that's all we got till Apple finally decides to re-release something officially.
One good Dvd however is The Beatles By The Bushel, which seems to have the best guality of the promo clips. In some cases however you hear that they used the music from official cd's instead of the original soundtrack. Part two has also been released.
There is a DvD from the Japan shows, which I heard is taken from laser disc and has excelent quality, but since I didn't buy it I can't comment on it.
An somewhat older set I am beginning to collect it the one by Beat. It's a set of 10 Dvd's which gathers together different promo clips, T.V. appearances, Live shows and specials. Quality differs from very bad to very good, since obviously different source were used. From the dvd's I have I like volume 9.It has the Around The Beatles show, including the Shakespeare sketch. Ready Steady Go and The Beatles for Vara T.V. the Netherlands is also included.
Volume 1 promises a lot but the quality is in most cases very bad. From the three versions of the "Hello Goodbye" promo's only one has good picture quality, but that has been taken from MTV, with logo in sight. Very nice to finnaly see is Paul on acoustic guitar playing "Helter Skelter" and "Blackbird". This comes with the famous John comment, that if they keep going on like this they be broke in a few months. Complete, with more blackbird rehearsals, this can be heard on Midnight Beat's cd "Here Today Gone Tommorow" However this is all there exists visually. Still it's somewhat more then the clip you could download a while ago.
Then ofcourse there is the director's cut of "Anthology". I have seen a few copies but decided against buying it.
The only new bootleg cd's I have seen, and bought are three more volumes of Strawberry's set "The Complete Get Back Sessions Camera B." If you had spend all your money on the Day By Day series, I would only trade for this (hint :teeth1: ) But since I didn't buy Day By Day, I thought to get this set.
Surprisinly I like listening to it. Volume 5 has "Another Day" and "I've Lost My Little Girl" while volume 6 has lots of "For You Blue" rehearsals". It depends on how far you want to go, I haven't figured out how much "new" stuff you get from the B rolls, but obviously it isn't worth buying both Day By Day, and this Strawberry set.
