So far I'm liking what I see In my life is a great song for sure but Hey Jude just has that "everyone knows the song so everyone can sing along" thing going on, but I do like you picks for sure.

In My Life is my all time fav. It just sums up life for me. Then there are too many 2nd favs. In My Life was the first Beatles' song I heard and that's what made me love the Beatles. It's so beautiful. John sang it so great!

According to a recent poll, "In My Life" is the best song ever written. However, My personal favorite is "Let It Be".
One of my favorite lines from a Beatle song is in it.
"When all the broken-hearted people living in the world agree, there will be an answer, let it be."

My list has recently changed. I wrote a list of my Top 25 (Paperback did too - we are fascinated with lists! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif) Here are my Top 10, beacause I doubt anyone wants the Top 25!
10. Across the Universe
9. Got to Get You Into My Life
8. Revolution
7. The Ballad of John and Yoko
6. Sgt. Pepper's Reprise / A Day in the Life
5. Eight Days a Week
4. Penny Lane
3. Golden Slumbers Medley
2. Let it Be
1. In My Life
Now, this may be curved a bit seeing as how Rubber Soul and Abbey Road are my newest albums. But those are the Top 10, as they stand now.

I can't remember my exact list but my Top 10 is something like this:
You've Got To Hide Your Love Away
A Day In The Life
Strawberry Fields Forever
Hey Jude
Here, There and Everywhere
Help!
Norwegian Wood
Eleanor Rigby
For No One
Penny Lane
It's so hard to say because about 80% even more of Beatles songs have a genuine claim.

My favorite song has to be "Let It Be" -- at least it has the most sentimental meaning to me because my mom used to sing it to me when I was a kid. It was a while before I knew it wasn't a song my mom made up...

I lately came to think that the objectively best Beatles songs are probably:
You've Got To Hide Your Love Away
Let It Be
Here Comes The Sun
(in no specific order)
Kind of diplomatic, huh?

Rocky didn't like that!

I think it's a kind of anti-establishment protest song.
