I read that George once played a played an unannounced live set for the regulars at his local pub in Henley-On-Thames.
During the 70's I think? Is this true? :cool1:

Yes that was true

December 17th 1977
At the Row Barge public house near his home in Henley-on-Thames, George gives an impromptu performance on guitar to various regulars. It is his first live appearance, albeit unannounced, in three years. Shortly afterwards, George and Olivia leave for their two-month Christmas vacation in Hawaii.

In various reading I have noted that on occasion, George did that, also with his musical friends who lived in the same area..

Must have been an unknown delight...imagine this.. sitting in your local (sorry, English term probably) and a certain George Harrison walks in with a uke or a guitar and just plays some tunes..
