Buying Beatles music is not a waste of money! The "White Album" is a good one, because being a double album, it's got much more great songs on it.
Personally, my favorite is Abbey Road. It gives you an idea as to the brillance of the Beatles musically. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

Rubber Soul has to be their greatest album. It has songs that convey over a vast range of emotions, and has the greatest Beatle song of all time on it. In My Life. Classic.

My favorite is a battle and changes from time to time. It is always between Beatles for Sale and Abbey Road.

Beatles for Sale has something misterious in the atmosphere of the recordings although listening to the material now or take it from 1980. it sounds 'old' ofcourse, but still it gets to me.

Abbey Road though is a masterpiece to me in way of vocals and music. Their vocal skills have proven to be real quality. Look at artists from the 90's and further, who often use back-up singers. The three could create wonderfull harmony and George has hardly been appreciated for that whereas he always did the high voices or falcetto if you want. That is what made him create the George O'Hara singers.

You're so right about the atmosphere in Beatles For Sale. It's mysterious, that's for sure. Fascinatin though, really is.

You might as well ask me which of my children I love more! I just cannot choose. No doubt, each of you had great difficulty making a choice. You're stronger than this old lady. I'll pass on this one.

My favorite album... god, not an easy question. I'd have to say it's a toss up between "MMT" & "Yellow Sub." But even having said that, I feel that I'm leaving out "Revolver," "Rubber Soul," & "Abbey Road." I don't think I'll ever come up with one concrete favorite. Oh well.
