TORONTO -- An upcoming auction will give Beatles enthusiasts the chance to get a small piece of the Fab Four's empire.

Ten early 45 RPM record albums, including a rare copy of Love Me Do with a red and silver Parlophone label, are among the auction items going on the block Dec. 15 in Toronto.

Some of the items are being sold by local collector Greg Godovitz, a one-time rocker with the 70's groups Fludd and Goddo.

The auction will feature about 100 music memorabilia items such as autographed artwork from the Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers album and Randy Bachman's first guitar.

As well, an Elvis Presley collector is selling six Mexican full-colour movie lobby cards from 1957, a handwritten letter to a fan and 1956 sheet music for Love Me Tender.

The items are estimated to be worth several hundred dollars apiece.

It's is being run by Empire Auctions Ltd. and items can be viewed at www.empireauctions.com. (http://www.empireauctions.com.)

Damn, sorry for the editing. I was meant to press 'quote' and accidentally got 'edit' instead and only realised my mistake after I had posted. I managed to get it back to how it was though...

Very confusing, sonsidering that the Love Me Do they're talking about is in fact the single, not the album. The 45rpm single Love Me Do / P.S. I Love You is quite rare, but not very. Copies are only worth about £60. Original 1963 copies on the BLACK Parlophone label though are a different story. An EX condition copy of that can set you back about £200-250.
