Badfinger was a succesfull Apple band introduced to Paul Macca by Mal Evans.

As The Ivey's they played in the UK scene as opening act for The Moody Blues, The Who, The Yardbirds. Were also the backing band for David Garrick (Dear mrs. Applebee).

Badfinger played on All Things Must Pass, the Bangla Desh Concert, had a hit with Come And Get It (written by Paul, where Paul instructed them to play it just like his demo) and a hit with Day After Day (produced by George with a nice slide solo).
George also produced various songs of the band.

Tom Evans and Pete Ham wrote most of their songs, including Without You (Harry Nilsson and Mariah-screaming-Carey).

The band's name comes from Badfinger Boogie, which I'm sure I don't have to explain the Beatles relation to.

Badfinger were originally called, The Iveys. Paul signed them onto the Apple label, and changed their name to Badfinger. I know he produced some of their records, but I don't know whether he wrote any for the band.

i saw the badfinger behind the music today it metioned a lot of stuff about the beatles,they even talked to paul watch it it's really good!!
