I'm not really a fan of them although I do like the song 'The Things We Do For Love'.

Oh I know 10CC very well, they are one of my favorite bands.

I have seen them Live I think 3 times, each time they were here, and I just adore their music.

From their first albums, with songs like "Silly Love" "Rubber Bullits" and "The Worst Band In The World" http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif , I have followed these guys.

I still get shivers when I play songs like the whole "The Original Soundtrack" album which to me is their Sgt. Pepper, or "Feel The Benefit" with this amazing finale..

Oh yes, anytime, just wake me up for 10CC http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

When Eric http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif Stewart became to work with Paul I really thought "Oh Holy Moly" (copied remark http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif )

And.... they had much more hits, but actually were more an album group. "How Dare You" is still to me one of the best albums ever...

Oh I can tell for hours about this band http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I have always thought that 10cc was a great band. Years ago I bought 'The Original Soundtrack' because I like "I'm Not In Love".
I also like 'solo' 10cc. Back in the 'old days' when MTV used to play rock videos, some of the best were 'Cry' by Godley and Creme, and 'Big Electric Cat' by Graham Gouldman.

10cc is one of Britain's best, an often underated talent. Eric Stewart and the boys gave us I'm Not In Love, The Things We Do For Love, Dreadlock Holiday, Rubber Bullets, The Dean And I, Wall St Shuffle, Silly Love, Good Morning Judge and many others. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup1.gif

The song "Donna" is a parody of "Oh! Darling" by The Beatles.

One Night In Paris is a masterpiece 'song' but more like what would call an pop opera?

I wanna pick this up again just for a try

10cc was also a band who had different personalities... the artisctic Godley&Creme who did videos like for Paul Macca? and Eric Stewart who played in Wings and Graham Gouldman who wrote great songs like No Milk Today which would not have fitted in his band 10cc.

And also there is a little George connection in their song "Wall Street Shuffle"

Oh, Howard Hughes
Did your money make you better?
Are you waiting for the hour
When you can screw me?
'Cos you're big enough

To do the Wall Street Shuffle
Let your money hustle

(Sorry guys)

So... anyone likes these amazing musicians?

YEAH! I made minestrone the other day and well, who can make minestrone and not think of 10cc???

My cousin introduced me to them in the 70's (Arggh, I'm dating myself! But I was just a kid. Honest!). He had a whole stack of their LPs, which I listened to while he was at work. Ah, those where the days!

I bought their Alive CD a couple of years back and I think that one's great. I also got Mirror Mirror but, well, it ain't The Real Thing. I'm Not In Love is probably my favorite, especially for the lyrics! I mean, who can not love:

I keep your picture upon the wall
It hides a nasty stain that's lyin' there
So don't you ask me to give it back
I know you know it doesn't mean that much to me

It's all your fault for getting me started on them, FP!
