<font color="purple">Hi all!!!
Just thought I'd tell you about how I spent my evening last night....
Way back, my older brother, Kevin, got my mom and dad 2 tickets to the (already then) sold out Crosby, Stills and Nash concert for my mom's b-day (May 14). Don't know how he got the tix, but he did. Anyway...the concert was yesterday, and my plan from the start was to go up to the mall (Viejas Outlet Center--which is an outdoor mall) to go "shopping" (while really watching the concert from a bench off to the side of the stage at the mall--since I had been unable to get a ticket for myself at the time that they had been on sale, so I was planning to just go and take it all in for free...) BUT...then Kevin and some of his friends somehow scored some tickets to sit on the lawn at the concert (at the very last minute)... well, he didn't get me one (I was so bummed out!!!!!!) BUT... regardless, I was still determined to see as much of the concert as I could, and so I was going to stick with my original find a bench/shopping plan, even though it would now mean that I would be alone "belonely" (vs sitting with Kevin) while seeing what bits I could of the concert from the outside, with everyone else now being on the inside (they block off the concert area with screens, so one has a limited view from "the outside"). So, I rode up to the mall with my mom and dad (Kev drove up seperately), and just on a whim, on the way into the mall, I stopped at the Box Office, and asked the chick there if she had any tickets (by any chance) available for the concert that evening (though knowing full well that it was sold out, and so fully expecting to be turned away). She said.... "yea, we have a few, do you want the best available?" I said heck yea! Oh my god!!!! I scored a ticket (at $75!!!) for the concert!!!!! A last minute ticket!!! And, dig this-my mom and dad's seats-bought in April-were in section D, and mine, bought an hour before the show, was in section B--I was 10 rows from the stage!!! And they were WAY back there!!!!! Oh man!!!! I was SO CLOSE !!!! Wowa-it was just an incredible concert!!! A total mind-blower!!! Oh, and, for the encores, people went up to the stage, and stood there for those last few songs-well, Kevin (brother) had found a spot on the lawn with his pals not far from my seat, and when people started going up toward the stage, he grabbed me and said, "come on, we're going!" So, I grabbed my Beatles purse and we made our way up there! We started out about 10 people back, dead center (so right in line with Graham Nash), and then, because I'm little and can easily do this, we quickly worked our way up to the very front of the stage!!! We were right there--right against the stage--right in front of the guys !!! OH MY GOD!!! They looked at me---it was sooooooo coooool!!!!! And--then Stephen Stills tossed his pick, and we caught it!!! We have his pick!!! The very one that he was using all night!!! WOW!!!!!!!! Anyway...it was the most awesome night!!!!!! God, I am SO GLAD that I went up there to "shop" last night!!! It was the coolest concert!!!!! WOWA!!!! Anyway...just thought I'd tell you all a bit about my most awesome evening!!! Not a bad way to spend the night!!! Oh, I will definitely go again the next time they come!!!! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif!!!!!!!!!!!!!
