Had never heard this song until purchasing the remastered Cloud 9.

It is fantastic, in my humble opinion. Full of humor, and the lady's voice (whoever she is) complements George's pretty well.

I think it is really an obscure gem.

What do you think?

Hello there, ol' pal! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif It's Vicki Brown, mother of Sam Brown, who sang in the Concert For George and also in "Horse To The Water" and "My Sweet Lord 2000". And indeed, it's a fantastic song. You were losing a lot by not having it. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi there, Mindgames http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Oh yes you did miss a great song, but I think you are not alone there, it is not discussed much I believe.

I love the song, in fact the whole Shanghai period gave us fantastic songs, but this one with Vicky, is to me superb and brings us a new George, via this almost duet song.

Amazing what a songwriter and producer George was, whereas he was able to combine his movie life with his music life via this soundtrack song.

I'm neutral with the song. Later day writing for George. Not a horrible song, nor is it a great song.

I always loved this song...but my kids love it as much or even more than I do! When we are in the car they ask me to play it over and over. I certainly do not mind one bit. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

But it was interesting to me, because I might think other George songs would be more appealing to kids, like...Blow Away or Here Comes the Sun... but they love this one so so much.

It's really cool you like the film's music that much, I agree, it is great.

I love this song! It's one of those fun-types by George. I'm really a major fan of everything George anyway, even if this may be considered one of those "fun but don't take it too serious" kind of things...for some reason, I still detect deep meaning in EVERYTHING he does.

I just adore the lyrics. Wow. I'm going to go listen to it now. Thanks for posting this!
