10) Hair ideas
11) The gift of natural expression
12) Open- mindedness; receptive to new ideas
13) Accepting and tolerant
14) Unique guitar work
15) Intensity!
I want to add a heartfelt thank you to the man who has given so much. George shared his beliefs through his talent and gift for natural expression. Every time I listen to some of my favorite George songs like the 1966 gem I Want to Tell You, I can't get over just how well George "spoke" for me. That song is the story of my life in a manner of speaking. When I was younger, so much younger than today I often let the Beatles do the talking for me since I was late to learn. I can never thank George enough for sharing his wisdom and insights with us. I think George was a very generous person.
ADDENDUM
It makes me feel so intensely good whenever I think of just how well loved George was. I think it was those early influences and experiences that shaped him into the person we knew and deeply respect.

24) Sharing - George shared his beliefs through his music
25) Cultural sharing such as sharing Eastern philophy and musical styles and instruments
26) Loving influence - all of his life, George was so well loved
27) Brillant, droll acerbic wit!
28) Spontaneous fun like his sexy little stiff-legged dance
29) We all know I love his hair. George gave hope for people with oval hair follicles that for those with wavy hair, you, too can have prime locks! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
30) George has provided the right words for many occasions and sometimes when you need to express a challenging feeling or concept, you can count on something George said that applies.
And yeah, Magill I find his music very soothing indeed. His music is a good influence. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile1.gif http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup2.gif

Hari New Year to All!
You lucky people outide the North & South American Continents - you will be out from under the shadow of 2004 sooner than we will in the United States! People in Boston will be free of 2004 sooner than people in San Francisco. I can't wait to ring out the old and ring in the new year!

George Harrison has brought a lot of good into the lives of countless people. I also think a debt of thanks is due Harold and Louise, Sr. for loving George and imparting a sense of stability and integrity into their youngest child and, later, the youngest Beatle.
George has brought immeasurable joy into the lives of countless people. On the Random George Thoughts thread, I related a personal account of how George and his music reached a child who had Asperger's Syndrome, which is on the high end of the autism spectrum. This child absolutely LOVED George and let George "talk" for her. She was quite the Beatles expert and if you had a question about George, she was one fan you might want to consult. It still warms my heart to think of how George's words, music and example took root in her heart.
George was truly an extraordinary man. I've said before that although I did not know George personally, I think I can honestly say that I love George. I really do. And thanks to some Harrison exposure at my Monday Night Prayer Group at my church, many more people have come to recognize the special qualities and talents that we all know and love in George.

I appreciate his acceptance to world music and other cultures. Sometimes the answers aren't within our own box. Exploration is beautiful.

Seriously, I doubt anyone can number all that George has brought into their lives. You said it well, Cel. George even said himself, "try to realize no one else can make you change..." George was a man who, I believe, spent his life in serious exploration.

George is an important part of our lives. That man has given so much and has remained humble and true to himself.
That says a lot of good about a person and speaks volumes to his strong core.

I think George has set high standards in music and one can honestly admire how George remained true to himself and did not let his mind get sidetracked when he was creating...George also set a good example by how cool and unruffled he appeared to be.
1. When the Beatles first came to America, George said when asked to say something to WINS-1010 AM, "there we go," in a tone meant to appease. He did not appear to be phased or overwhelmed.
2. In both Beatle movies, George was the coolest and most together in demeanor. In Help! it was this very coolness that helped George to steal the show!
3. George and his intensity - a trait that stayed with him his entire life and one that served him well. You can respect someone who is intense about what they are doing and what they believe in and want to accomplish.
