I'm not stating any opinion, just reporting what I saw...
But keep in mind that this was probably done before George passed away...
I don't have the exact lines, as I saw the french-dubbed version of the show and I only saw it once, and with the fact that I was rather "suprised" I may have missed some bits or mis-remembered part of the dialogue, but it went something like this...
Peter Griffin: "This is boring, it reminds me of when I used to George Harrison's head of security"
Flasback... Peter Griffin keeping watch at FPSHOT, as he watches televison and sings along with a dumb tune it is playing.
In the backround, a man jumps the wall and runs towards the house.
Then, as fight noises are heard...
Peter: "Oh keep quiet ! That George Harrison can be pretty annoying sometimes"

well, i'm a big fan of family guy but i havn't seen that one. . . the show does make beatle references all the time, but they've always been very respectful and positive to the band. that's not funny at all. while the show has always been one to, um, toe the line between appropriate and inappropriate, i'm surprised and disappointed at a "joke" like that http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Same here, I'm becoming a big fan of the series (If you can not enjoy the benefits of the french-dubbed version.. they you're REALLY missing something !).
But when I saw that George scene... my jaw dropped and it stayed that way during that whole bit, as I was so suprised that they'd spoof something like that.
Can't say I approve...

Maybe they made it before but its just as bad to still *show* it after. That is not completely out of the realm for them to alter shows after they've already been made and it may reflect poor taste. for example, Sex and the City changed one of their shows after JFK Jr died- and the original was not even in poor taste as this was.

Just saw one, a funny one this time, about John on the same show...
Peter: "... or else I'll do the same thing to you as I did to John Lennon !"
And, after that George thing, I half expected a tasteless allusion to a certain December night.
But no, they flash back to 1966, you see a young Peter with John... as he introduces him to Yoko !
Now THAT is funny !

there's also a funny one where stewie joins a bluegrass band and, after taking a banjo solo, shouts, "I GOT BLISTERS ON ME FINGERS!"

Yeah, saw that on the same DVD I think.... the funny thing is that, since I listen to the french-dubbed version, I'll sometimes need a few seconds to "click".... and get such a reference !
Stewie rules... he makes Bart Simpson look like a choir boy (how old is he supposed to be, 1 & 1/2 ?)

[/ QUOTE ] I remember that. My brother has it on DVD. The only thing is that the last line didn't mention George. After the fight sounds Peter says"You wacky Beatle you. . I'm sure that's it.
