Son of ex-Beatle George Harrison, can not suffer the music of Sir Paul McCartney (62).
"I cannot begin anything with Pauls music. I am not a large fan its that he makes, said for the moment "Harrison jr. a report" of the Mail "according to. Therefore it will not look at itself also McCartneys appearance with the large Rockfestival of Glastonbury, although it will be there.
However McCartney is not criticized the only one, the Harrison jr.: "the British music scene is so flat. It is difficult for all new one, because everything was already made. It really gives little volume, those to talent has."

Thanks, AnyRoad! Dhani sounds like a bit of a 'chip off the old block', eh? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I checked AbbeyRd news and some others, and you have given Links an exclusive! Ta!

Dhani's view is probably the same as his dads. While he probably respected Paul I can't imagine him sitting back in his chair and listening to a Macca CD.

Yep HC...he certainly is! And I like that about him...I remember at the end of the "Concert for George" when Dhani was thanking everyone-he never MENTIONED Paul by name but he did mention Ringo as "Uncle". No wonder George is my FAV beatle http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Well I guess now Dhani can kiss his friendship with Stella goodbye. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif
Chip off the old block indeed. Very opinionated and straightforward, our young Dhani. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It's unbelievable how much Dhani takes after his father, isn't it? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

some folks may need this: http://world.altavista.com or your favorite online translator http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
It credits the "Mail"- is that possibly the UK paper? maybe? or is there a "Mail" news source in Germany as well?
Anyway, call me the paranoid media skeptic but this doesn't sound like its from any kind of formal interview since its apparently the ONLY thing that is quoted. unless it was a really short interview... or maybe just so uninteresting that this was the only quotable. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yawn1.gif
Though i have a hard time doubting that he might've said it (frankly a lot of people feel this way so what's the big deal?). i can't help but wonder, was it meant to be a public comment or was it said in conversation and just made its way into German tabloids?
so Dhani won't be at the Festival. surprisingly a tabloid hasn't claimed that he's not going b/c he's mad at Liam Gallagher for not letting him be in his make-believe SuperGroup. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif

Dhani... HARRISON is not a "big fan" of Paul's music ?
Why am I not so surprised ? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
... I can just imagine a teen-aged Dhani coming back from school...
George: "Dhani... what's that sticking out of you school bag ?"
Dhani: "Errr... nothing dad..."
George: "Come on... let's have it..."
Sheepishly, Dhani pulls out a copy of "Tug of war" and hands it over to George... who sighs...
George (waving the CD at Dhani): "What have I told you a million times ? Bring all the girls and pot that you want in here... or borrow one of my cars without telling me and I won't mind... But THIS..."
George casually flips the CD in his fireplace...
George: "I will simply not allow it in the house..."

dhani harrison, not a fan of sir paul mccartney's music http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif heaven forbid! but i thought it was a prerequisite that to be a son of a beatle, you must ONLY listen to beatle and/or solo beatle material and damn well love every minute of it!

http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolling3.gif ABKCO! that was classic
can imagine that the same thing might've happened in the late '80s when Stella brought home some Wilburys cassettes. Paul tossed 'em out his famous bathroom window.

I dunno...
It would be more of a case of either...
Paul (tears in his eyes): "... what's the matter Stella ? Don't you like daddy's music ?" (long akward silence...)
Or...rrr
Paul: "O.K... but you can only play the songs sung by Bob, Tom, Jeff or Roy... especially Roy's... and please turn the sound down whenever there's a guitar solo !"

While we're at it...
Zak Starkey brings a George CD home...
Zack: "Hey dad, look what I g..."
An excited Ringo yanks the CD out of Zak's hands...
Ringo (pointing out the track list to Zak): "COOL... I played drums on that one, maracas on that one, tambourine on those two... oh, and that one, George wrote if for me but he decided to do it himself instead..."
Zak: "... but I read that uncle George had said..."
Ringo (stamping his feet like a child) "It's not true, it's not true... he wrote it for ME !"
Zak: "'It's not true'... didn't uncle Paul do a song with that title ?"
Ringo: "O.K., now you're just being rude... go to you room !"

O.K.... sorry, one last one...
Wesley Orbison walks in with a copy of "McCartney II"...
Roy looks at the LP cover...
Roy: "What's this ?"
Wesley: "Paul McCartney's latest album..."
Roy: "McCartney... ? He must be new, I've never heard of him. He looks a bit old to be coming out with his first album..."
Wesley: "Yes you have dad. Remember, in the 1960's, he was in that british group you toured with..."
Roy: "What... this guy was with the Rolling Stones ?"
Wesley: "No ! The OTHER british band you toured with, you know, The Beatles"
Roy: "Ohhhh, those guys... yes, Ringo, John, George..."
Roy adjusts his glasses and re-checks the album cover...
Roy: "... but I don't remember THAT guy being on the tour"
Wesley: "He was, The Beatles were a quatet... Paul was the fourth one..."
Roy: "I though that was Gerry Marsden ?"
Wesley: "NO ! He was with the other band on that tour, Gerry and the Pacemakers !"
Roy: "If you say so, but I guess he must have retired after that 1963 tour, as I've never heard of him since... So, you want to play that ?" (Roy hands the LP back to Wesley)
Wesley: "Not really... just got it because we ran out of ashtrays in the house..."
