What is your Wilbury highlight. The song, or part of a song, or a video?
I can't make a choise yet.
Handle With Care is so special because it was the first thing, so a special feeling like I always have with My Sweet Lord as the first solo single.
Heading For The Light is the most "George" song and always make me feel cheerfull
Inside Out, I love for the video.
Not Alone Anymore maybe is the loviest song.
She's My Baby is nice because it is a rocking song and a cool video.
Congratulations can be good for a cynical mood http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
So, it's a little puzzle and I am not sure yet.
How about you out there, is there one you can easily name, or do you have similar candidates?

OH YES!!!! The Traveling Wilburys!!!!!
TTW are easily my favourite band after the Beatles especially as they have my two favourite singers in George and Bob.My favourite song would have to be Tweeter and The Monkey Man.I just love the style of the track, obviously very Dylan but the story within and right down to the "And the walls Came Down.." bit - just a fantastic piece of work.I must listen to it NOW!!!!!!
But saying that, I honestly dont believe there is a weak track on either of the albums although Volume 1 has always been my favourite. Each song has a special place for me.
Handle With Care, of course being the first release was a great thing to hear. The place where Roy sings for the first time is a music classic for me.The shivers go right through me, a fantastic singer.
But just go through the whole album - Dirty World is pure Dylan, great lyrics but very easy to sing along to as well.
Rattled to me is a great Rock n Roll parody and although Jeff Lynne doesn't have the best of voices,he carries this track off well.Great '50's style guitar solo too!!
Last Night doesn't have as much appeal to me but its still a good rock song and Petty has a great voice.
Not Alone Anymore - God, what can I say.One of Roys best and a pure classic.Should have been a single!
Congratulations stands out for me because of the cynical lyrics and Georges slide at the end of the song - his playing finishes the song perfectly.
Heading for the Light - You dont need to listen to the lyrics or anything, just sit back and listen to a great pop song.Would have fitted on Cloud 9 easily.
Margarita, like Last Night is not as strong but I love the Bob bit.
Tweeter I have already mentioned - if you haven't heard this song FIND IT NOW!!!!! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
End Of The Line and End of a perfect album with the perfect ending.Sounds very much like a George lyric with everyone taking a turn (Does Bob??? I'll have to listen)
Volume 3 loses some of the charm wihout Roy I think but it's still a very good piece of work.
She's My Baby - great little rocker.Nothing more,nothing less.
Inside Out is probably my favourite off this album.Great Dylan vocal but put in the shade by George's vocal cameo.Superb.
If You Belonged To Me could have been lifted off one of Bobs own albums easily.Very good lyrics and you just got to love the harmonica!
Devil's Been Busy is again a great rocker with (I think) great back up by George on Sitar.
7 Deadly Sins is possibly a weak link. Not that bad a song but doesn't really go anywhere for me
Most of Poor House I dont hear as I'm too busy listening to George's slide playing!! Give Me Plenty Of that Guitar!! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Where Were You Last Night has great joint vocals from Bob and George (perfect match).Sounds very much like a Bob song though.
New Blue Moon has great harmonies and goes along smootly without making you sit up and take notice.
Cool Dry Place - A song about Rot amongst other things!! Come on Tom, you can do better.
You Took My Breath Away is a nice track with Tom redeeming himself after the previous!
Wilbury Twist is a fun end to a very good album.Novelty song I suppose but good to listen to.
Of course, lets not forget Nobodys Child.Sounds a bit disjointed to me and not the best way to finish the Wilburys off but it was for Charity!
The Wilbury videos are also fun.Handle With Care is great because it's the first and it great to see them all there together( especially Roy! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif ). Nice seeing the pictures of them as kids as well.
End Of the line is a nice tribute to Roy and the train journey fits the song.
Inside Out is a fun video.Bob looks like he is just talking gibberesh throughout and Georges bit is hilarious.
Haven't seen She's My Baby!!
Wilbury Twist is a novelty video in the same style as the song. Can you spot all the has been celebrities!
Haven't seen Nobody's Child.
Anyway, what was the question????
Oh yeah, highlights.Well, all of it to be honest!
Now where's my copy of Tweeter......

I certainly understand your excitement Beatlemad! That was a very nice review of the collection. It made me bring them out and listen again. No I didnm't have them far and have listened recently but I should listen everyday!
I'll start by answering the question. My 'highlight' would have to be the day I received them. It was after finding Beatlelinks and my 'new' interest/obsessions with The Beatles just about a year ago. Anyways, I am sure I had heard some of these songs on the radio but never made the connection. I can't say I was even the George fan then that I am now. But the posts I read made me curious. Then I realized how hard they were to find. So when I found them I was very excited and when they arrived in the mail I was 'trembling' (kinda ironic huh). All I can say is WOW. What a great 'band', One of my early thoughts were 'Was this the first 'Supergroup'?
I got both Vol. 1 & 3 at the same time, and I must say I prefer Vol. 1 but have nothing bad to say about 3 either, very enjoyable. I also received a 'bootleg' of Vol. Two from a customer. It includes Nobody's child and others. I find it interesting as well.
And since you put a 'review' I will go ahead and give at least my 'highlights' of the albums, oh that kinda was the question wasn't it.
Off Vol.1
My favorites would have to be first and foremost 'End of the Line'. I consider that to be one of my all time faves from anyone. Also Handle With Care and Heading for the Light.
Dirty World is fantastic. So dirty, but 'not'. I giggle everytime I hear it picturing these dirty old men sitting around having so much well deserved fun!!
Rattled indeed reminds me of a 50's song and so well done. Love Roy's growl.
Not Alone Any More is a great song. Probably one of my fave's of Roy. I love the way George's guitar compliments his voice, or is it the other way around? lol. Beautiful.
Tweeter and the Monkey Man is a good one and the Bruce connection I am not educated on, but I am not surprised. I gave the lyrics to my daughter, a huge Bruce fan. I will see what she says. Care to inlighten me in a pm on your thoughts on this?
Vol. 3
Love She's My Baby and Wilbury Twist but as you pointed out they all have some interesting qualites.
I still haven't seen any videos and anxiously await the new releases!!!
