For my graduation present, my uncle gave me about 50 pictures he had of the Beatles that had been in storage since the 60s. He owns a photo place, and he used to print some of the pictures for Capitol. Some of them have stuff written on them, like "Beatles 157" (maybe to keep the shots in order)?

I had already seen a lot of them, and they seem to be promo shots and things like that. They're mostly 8x10 shots, with a few smaller ones and a few 11x14 shots. If anyone knows anything about old pictures, I'd love to hear if these pictures are valuable. Thanks!

Are they promotional photos or actual pictures taken from the negative and on photopaper?

Promo photos are rare but since they were produced in such massive numbers they aren't worth much, but if there were candid and unpublished then they're worth a lot more

But remember that copyright is a big issue involving photographs.
