I saw this magazine at an antique shop recently at a price of $89 dollars Canadian. The story contains the second half of Hunter Davis's 1968 biography or an excerpt from it. From doing a quick check on the internet the magazine seems to be worth between $25-$35 American, so I'm thinking that $89 is much too pricey! Does anyone have any ideas about the value?

$25-$35 seems to be about the correct range for the magazine. See if you can bargain with the seller. Maybe they will make you a deal. It is worth a try.

Yeah, definitely try and bargain with the seller on that one. I recently bought an issue of Life Magazine with Paul and Linda on the cover for just $3.50 (I think the issue is from 1971 or so).

Where can I go get a price guide on those?
