One of my mom's friends has a first pressing of the White Album. It's also unopened. How much this is worth? Thanks!

Depends on if it's American or British. What's the number on the front cover?

I asked my mom and she said that he thinks it's American. We're not sure what the number is on it...

Ok but you really need to get definite answers on those two questions to even begin to value the LP. Just look on the spine for the catalog number and look right on the front for the LP number, it's really simple.

Since UK albums were not sealed, it rules out this possibility, so therefore it's most likely American.

Also, since Beatles LP's were heavily reissued once the Beatles EMI contracts expired, you have to be careful as to whether it's a reissue or not.

The easiest way to check this is to see if there's a number on the front. If there is then it's original, if not then it's a reissue.

Also, original copies had the word 'BEATLES' embossed on the cover. Reissues had this printed in grey ink.
