Many people who were conscious in the 60's remember where they were when Kennedy was shot. Well, for me I remember distinctly where I was when I was told that Lennon had been killed. It was December 9th, 1980 that I was woken by my mother saying that he had been killed. I was only 12yrs old, but I loved The Beatles and had really started getting deeper into them. I was crushed, and all of my friends in school came up to me and told me how sorry they were because they knew how much he meant to me, it was about all I talked about in school was The Beatles. At any rate, back in 1995 I was watching the John Lennon Collection video tape and all of a sudden, thanks to the Grace of God, a song jumped into my mind about John Lennon. I picked up my acoustic and started singing and playing into a tape recorder and a song was born. I went into a professional recording studio and recorded my first independent record. Among the songs was the one penned about Lennon entitled...One Early Mourning. You can hear the entire song on the following link. I hope you enjoy it!
