I been wondering something for quite some time and that is, how would one go about getting a beatles guitar? Like john's black and white Rickenbacker 325 for example.

You mean one of his ACTUAL original Rics??
Or do you mean a reproduction of a 325 Ric like his? For the latter, I believe a few years back they offered a 325 complete with a printed sig of his and his famous face doodle. I've seen them surface on eBay for anywhere between $2500- 5000. You can, of course buy Rickenbackers today and they currently run about $1200.00. I was fortunate enough to pick up a "knock off" Ric in Canada (thanks to the astute eye of a friend up there) for a mere $450.00US.
Now if you're after one of John's...watch the auctions from Christie's or Sotheby's. I don't think he had all that many and I know the whereabouts of atleast 3 of them. I am fortunate enough to "work" with one of them at the new Hard Rock Vault in Orlando.
Now as far as getting your hands on one of Paul's Hofner's or a Ric or Gretsch from George's collection...? Auctions again and likely there are knock offs of them as well or the comapnies themselves still make them. Anything for a price, ya know- lol

Cool! Try a guitar shop in your area and see if they can hook you up or look in your local paper classifieds. If you're lucky enough to live where an old-style mom & pop shop for musical instruments exists they might post guitars for sale on a bulliten board or something. And there is always eBay but you know how auctions can get...
Good Luck mate!

The Rickenbacker Company has reissued a 'dead nuts' copy of Lennon's first '58 RIC 325 that he played. You can get it either as the Hamburg model just as he bought it in 1960, or pained black like it was for the Feb. Sullivan show!
I own one, and it's one of the best guitars I've EVER played!
Good Luck

I have a black Rick for sale. It is black and white and is sweet. I have only played it about five times and it looks and feels brand new. Comes with case. I paid $1100 for it with a fantastic hard shell case. It is yours for $700 and shipping which will probably run about $50. The link below will take you to the very exact one I have and from the exact same online same music store I bought it from.

(Freis, I edited the link so the page would not be so stretched out.)

This is your last chance to buy a fab Rick, similar to the one used by John Lennon. If you want it let me know asap! I have it going on sale in a local paper starting on May 2nd. A $1000 value for only $700. If you have ever wanted to own a Rick now is the chance. Don't kick yourself in the butt later. I will have told you so.
