I was wondering if anyone could give me any info on a CD I bought off Ebay a while back. I paid a fiver for it, so plaese don't tell me if I've been ripped off!

Its a Japanese mini CD of Beautiful Boy by John and Beautiful Boys by Yoko. I can't find a date on it, it does say 92.6.3 on the back, but Im not sure what that means. Its packaging fold up in to a stand for it (which is unfolded) and the CD itslef is only about 3 inches wide. (Diameter). Its got the words in Japanese and English and isd printed with greeny black and white photos,

Anyone got any info?

Doesn't sound like a rip-off to me. I also got a Japanese import 3" John Lennon CD off eBay, but it had only John on it performing Starting Over and Beautiful Boy.

That was about a year and a half ago, but I think I might have paid a little more than you did.

The 3" format was big in Japan (and other places), don't know if it still is. It was tried here in the US, but it didn't fly.

Actually, I wanted a 5" instead of a 3". I had already bid on it before realizing it wasn't 5", but I'm glad I have it just the same.

That's all I can tell you, don't know anything about the #'s, but mine also has your type of packaging, I think that's just the way they do it in Japan.

Last summer on eBay I won a 5" CD single of John Lennon's I'm Losing You. Cheap Trick did the guitar work on it, and it smokes! I remember seeing the video on MTv about 5 years ago. The CD also had John demo-ing Only You for Ringo.

The Beatles' singles were released in America on the 3" CD format. I've seen a couple of them for sale for £10 ($14) each!
