View Full Version : Me Singing....

I promised yesterday to the folks in the chatroom that I was going to record myself singing and post it onto the forums. Since I only have the basic of the basic recording equpiment the quality of the recording wasn't up to studio standard, but you can just about tell what's being sung and all.
Something (http://mysite.freeserve.com/beatlesmuseum/something.rm)
This is me playing piano and singing. I mess up chordwise twice, but I think I powdered over it pretty well images/icons/wink.gif
You've Got to Hide Your Love Away (http://mysite.freeserve.com/beatlesmuseum/yougottohideyourloveaway.rm)
I did this because a friend told me that it suited my voice.
I did others, but they didn't come through well enough to warrant exposing (plus I hit too many flat notes in them)
Enjoy.

Harb, yesterday we were joking about it at the chat, but it sounds cool alright.
So, let the world forget Frank Sinatra's version.
What if I add some backing vocal and a second acoustic guitar, and I can also do the guitar solo on my electric thing. Or get JT to do that.
Before you know it we'll play the Liverpool annual festival. I am in London Tuesday and Wednesday (honest) so book a studio and call Sir George, or Jeff.

They are pretty shaky, and I admit that I could sing a little better. I blame the hot weather and the rubbish equipment images/icons/wink.gif
Thanks for the kind words. images/icons/smile.gif

well, I've converted them into MP3, but the quality is very poor - you can just make out what I'm singing, but it's enough I hope.

Very good versions Harb, thanks for sharing.
Is it posible for you to do an instrumental of something you've written but haven't got a pair of matching lyrics for, so I can see if I have or can come up with a set of lyrics that fits.

Thanks again for the kind words. I didn't think they were up to my usual standard.
I'm going to be recording another one soon. I'm going to do 'The Long and Winding Road' live images/icons/grin.gif
Watch out for it, I'll try and make the recording better too. images/icons/smile.gif
